CU vs GT Hotel Recommendations

I have never been to a game in either of the Domes in ATL. I am looking for a hotel near the stadium that is safe to walk to/from game. Appears most of the Hilton brand hotels are 1.5-2 miles from the stadium. Does anyone have any experience walking in that area after a game?

Typically when I think of ATL "safe" isn't the first word that pops into my head.

assuming they all have availability.

I've stayed at the Embassy, the Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Downtown, The Westin on Peachtree, the Marriott Marquis, the Hilton Atlanta, the Hyatt Place Centennial Park, and the Omni which is my personal favorite, all of which are easy walking distance to the stadium.
