CC just said that Russel Wilson, in a trade would be worth 5 first round picks! Really?!? Wilson was a very good college QB. His story is compelling..tried out in baseball, tried to return to NC St. Had to transfer and was successful. Good for him. He won a Super Bowl and lost a Super Bowl. I just don't get that he's one of the best ever, which Cowherd obviously does.

To me, the value in a young successful QB is that he's cheap which lets you pay for talent around him.
As soon as you hit that next contract or talk about a trade and have to pay full value, it's not the same.

Not sure he is worth 5, but he makes everyone around him better, makes few mistakes and most important he is a proven QB1 while even 1st round picks can be busts.

He is a HOF QB and one of the best ever, but 5 first round picks would be silly. 3 max would be fair.

Even though he has never won MVP, I agree he is HOF. To my knowledge it is only recently that he started having injury issues (though I’m not going to research).
He is 32 ….and based on what we are seeing folks like Brady and Rodgers (37) still playing top of their games - and yes Brady is the big outlier at 58 years old.
If one has a solid team and need a QB to get you to the promised land ….then I can see 5 first rounds…basically one first round for each year of a 5 year contract. But yeah, you need to as a franchise have your #### in order to make it worth the while for the acquiring franchise.

Too bad Parker was seriously injured with uncalled illegal targeting in Auburn, which we would have won and beat Cam Newton, if not for that broken rib, and they would have not won Natty. The injury was not revealed until end of season, and Kyle was booed for his play the rest of year.

Yep, anyone that saw that hit in the Auburn game and how Parker moved around the weeks following knew he had a cracked rib or something similar. The dude played through the pain the rest of the year, but he was booed for missing on some passes. I had a cracked rib once and grimaced in pain just sneezing much less play a season of FB. I was proud of him for playing through it.
