Covid Protocols

Clemson should require proof of vaccination or recent negative test before entering the stadium for a game. Every school should do it, no mind what our idiot Governor and the equally gutless legislature say. If the powers that be at Clemson defy them, Clemson will ultimately win. I know this will never happen and the ultimate impact on our infection rates in a state that already has one of the highest infection rates in America is incalculable. Southern football is a sadly right wing enterprise. No reason to think that insidious reality will change for another couple of generations, at least.

I’ll be there. Fully vaxed. Probably wearing a mask most of the time.

Covid is not going away and we have to learn to coexist with it. I have stated on here before that I can argue both sides of the vaccine debate. I am not going to judge anyone on their vaccine decision. The problem that we have is the government did not pursue a vaccine based on an inactive virus. Until the US has a vaccine like Valneva, we are going to have people resist getting vaccinated. So until we have Valneva or another inactive virus vaccine alternative, I am against vaccine mandates. I am also fully vaccinated.

Good points. However, there’s no longer such thing as “fully vaccinated”

decisions. Met a kid who had Covid three weeks ago and did not know it - his Uncle came to visit him, uncle was dead from Covid two weeks later. Did the uncle get it from the kid? who knows. Neither had vaccines. Fine they live with this.

But, here is the big but, if those who refuse to get a vaccine and then become ill enough to require hospital or ICU - and are taking beds and care away from other patients - this really pi$$es me off. We are seeing this in Greenville already - neighbor scheduled for an operation to alleviate a condition, postponed because too many idiots are sick with Covid.

The virus is going to become a super virus in the near future if we don’t quit mass vaccinating people just like antibiotics and bacteria/infections are now resistant to them. This comes straight from Dr. Malone who invented the technology for MRSNa vaccines including COVID. He said it was never meant to be distributed during a pandemic because it causes these variants to spread like wild flower. So I am so glad we have a governor to stand up to these Nazi tactics being pushed down our throats as this is exactly what they did to the Jews in the 1930’s. They told everyone they were diseased and were dumb and were keeping the citizens from their job.

I am so glad his true colors have finally come out, He doesn't care about freedom and liberty. I guess he doesn't say mean things on twitter though, so he has that going for him.

If your vaccine works, then you don't have to worry about the unvaccinated. If it doesn't work, then why get it. "Vaccinated" people can catch and spread Covid, potentially they may have less severe illness, thus a personal decision whether you decide to take the risk or not. Also some people legitimately have medical reasons they can't take the shot as well as people with religious reasons.

This country was founded on not having a federal government who can make these decisions, you should maybe read the Constitution sometime.

If we as a country keep baby sitting the 40% of the country that is scared of the vaccine, we will be in this cycle forever. I am sorry, but it is time to get your vaccine, or take your chances. Do not force me to keep protecting you guys. It has been almost 2 years for goodness sake. I think the "Uber driver union" is behind you anti vaxxers. Hoping for another year of double unemployment, no evictions, and freeze on all the student loan payments.

are vaccinated, they won't spread covid. That is simply anti-science and wrong. Being vaccinated does not prevent or slow the spread of covid. Vaccinated people still catch the virus and still spread it. There is even data that shows vaccinated people spread it even more than unvaccinated. If you take Israel as an example, their case rate is highest in the world per capita, and they are also the most vaccinated population.

So mandating vaccines to get into the stadium serves absolutely no purpose other than to make mini-Hitler types feel good about themselves.

Yes the facts are that vaccines and masks really don’t appear to stop the spread: Distancing is more likely the most effective. My daughter had Covid and neither the wife nor I did. Why? Because she stayed in another part of the house and we did not get near her. Wife not vaxed. Just my measly two cents.
