The second half was more of them same predictable, generic, and vanillas play calling, unforced errors, mental mistakes, poor angles to the ball, and terrible tackling.

Yeah I wish he had kept the starters in at least the entire 3rd qtr. You have to let the offense carry as much momentum as possible when they finally start playing well, I know he loves to get backups in during blowouts, but its annoying to go backwards after a dominant first half.

The O Line didn't play that well if you look at the PFF grades....we really, really need some of Matt Luke's recruits to develop and work their way into the rotation. Linthicum was simply awful.

I'm with you on the concerns with the OL. Although I'm very curious why the DBs seem unable (or unwilling) to cover anyone. There are better passing teams upcoming and major improvement is needed (IMO). Add to that I'm still waiting for "the best DL in the country" and there's a lot to get better at. All that being said, coming off a win helps.

Well, looking at the PFF grades from Saturday the coverage was actually excellent......but, your point is well taken---they were pretty awful the first 4 games.
OL's PFF grades were seriously bad for run blocking--like high school level bad. That's a big concern going into games against teams like FSU and Louisville-who have some disruptive D-Linemen.

Clemson "played" better because they played one of the worst teams in the country. The same issues still persist.

CV was not impressive, but I thought he looked good. Turner continues to be the guy we are waiting for but who never seems to get there.

A lot of great points you have made,,, the Heels the worst of the worst, I was expecting to see at least 48 1st half points, Tigers have a lot of work to do if they expect to compete outside of the ACC or really in the ACC now. A few Teams have stepped their game up, UVA, FLSt, GT to name a few. Tony's got his boys believing!!

Bad news is we lost the second half 7-3 to them. That was disappointing our backups (future) couldn't play better.
