Cootlumbia regional

May 28, 2013, 12:29 PM

Anyone expecting to see the Tigers lay the wood to Liberty Friday night with big time runs and hitting all over the place, Then come back and play tight and timid on Saturday and Sunday? Thats been the theme for the last 10 years it seems. What has to change to change that? Coaching it seems. If not then Coach Leggett would have to completely change his style. They look like water headed tards in the other dugout but the Coot players never look scared to lose.

Hopefully they will hand out clothes pins to thwart off the stench that permeates around the Columbia area!!!

So, the "theme" for the past 10 years has been playing tight and timid and Jack needs to completely change his style - despite having advanced to a Super Regional 6 out of the last 10 years. Or didn't you realize that?

"Tough guy"? Did you perceive some sort of threat? You state that for 10 years Jack Leggett has failed in regionals because he plays too tight and some other nonsense. If you'd said "he's lost to SCar 2 of the last three years and I can't stand it" that would be more accurate but wouldn't give you the chance to act like he has been some sort of persistent failure. I provided the fact that, in the time frame you referenced, he has in fact advanced to a Super Regional 60% of the time. Doesn't sound like someone who chokes in the regional every time like you originally asserted.

I'm assuming we're saving Goose for Saturday? We just need the bats to be hot all weekend. We have got to atleast get by them this time if anything.

Have no idea what the coaches will do, but Liberty's best pitcher is very good and already beat SCar this year. Gossett did not fair so well against SCar earlier this year. It will be a tough call.

Goose limited them to only 3 hits and 1 earned run in 6.1 innings this year. In last year's regional, he pitched 7.0 innings, giving up four hits, 2 runs with 8 strikeouts.

Could win the first two and then let a team from losers...

May 28, 2013, 5:35 PM

bracket beat us twice. Seen that choke job twice in Omaha.

Or we could just lose the first two and let the other 2 schools knock us out.
