impressionable ages of 5 to 10 during the Coots Fivebomb streak. Those poor kids may have gotten imprinted with totally false information about who actually owns this state.
As they move on in life, we can only hope that either they wise up on their own, or somebody shines a light on the truth for them. Otherwise, they are in for a life of misery and falling short of expectations, just as their chosen school does.

I’m one of those kids. Elementary school was a bad time around thanksgiving with the exception of 5th grade when we broke the streak. I’m thankful enough that even back then I knew who ran this rivalry. Entering my bridge year at Clemson in a few weeks and I tell people I would rather not have a college education at all than spend 4 years of my life in Columbia and I truly mean that.

Cmon guys....read it more carefully. When he says "its the place DOWN THERE", clearly he means down at the bottom of the rankings, bottom of the list of desirable places to visit. And he mentions the fanbase adoration for the UofSC players. So clearly he's seen how the fans there CONTINUE to pour their love onto Bentley and Hillinski. This kid knows what he's talking about.

This is what u get when u have as SCar does an entitled fan base and entitled players - entitled recruits. Why should we expect anything else? The day their fans and program behave with the kind of respect and humility (in general, there always being the exceptions) that ours does, that’s the day we should be concerned and not until. They want the payoff without the buy in

He hasn't played on down of college football yet produces prime bulletin board material just before camp. Hmmmmmm. Maybe he should learn (and play) the college game first.
Unfortunately, a lot of these young players think its cool to talk smack about your future opponents thinking it makes you look big and tough. I would counsel him to worry about the SEC teams you play first. After you play them and win those games THEN you can talk a little smack.

And Columbia is not Clemson for a good reason. Two different atmospheres and coaching styles. I am not sure the numbers but I know Dabo and Beamer do not go head-to-head for that many recruits. I am sure SC can promise an immediate starting slot to some of these kids whereas Clemson is more of "work hard and you will have the opportunity to play" mindset.
