Cooper Library

Sep 10, 2021, 4:25 PM

So now you can’t go into cooper without a student ID. Being a graduate isn’t good enough.

It’s For “Covid”. I imagine this restriction will never go away. Sad, I will miss the nostalgia walks around in there every once in a while.

Crazy, I am pretty sure you can get worse things than COVID in the basement of that place, should be no real concern there.

I think I went in there 6 times as a student

Sounds like you have been there more times since you graduated than I did before I graduated

I went almost daily when I was at Clemson

Not always just to study. It’s a very social place to. Or at least it was when I was at Clemson 09-13. If I had nothing going on on a weekday night I would just head over there and see what was going on. Who was there you know.

We went for two reasons back in the 80s

If we were going to pick up chics we had beer in our book bags and went to the upper floors. If we were going to study we found a quiet corner on the lower levels. Up front when you walk in that’s all happy hour! LOL The only way you can get any studying done is on the lower levels.

I graduated in 91 and went in there a few years ago with my kids. Hardly recognized the place - the main floor, anyway. I did spend most of my time in the lower levels, though, looking through old micro-fiche records and such! Closed that place down several times....
