Agree but there are still 5 games to be played so lets just see what happens. If you would have asked most tiger fans when we won in 16 they would have told you in Oct. we were not good enough to win it.

I think that his opinion is what we've seen to date, and I'm of the very same opinion, and that is we haven't played like, what a playoff team play should be playing like!!!

We're getting better every game. We were -3 in TO's and still won. Last year's team would have tried but would have lost that game.

Now ... if you’re arguing that we’re not a national championship caliber team (especially right now) then you have more of a point.
Still, the years we won it all, we were very shaken earlier in the season and we gelled, peaking at the right time.

Iowa has an excellent D, and they scored at will against it. If someone is going to beat them they better have an outstanding offense.

Did you see how many times Iowa turned the ball over yesterday? Their offense is even worse than ours was last year, if this is possible. Their D is under constant pressure and was bound to crack. OSU has a good offense, but they've been doing it largely against weak competition this year.

They are good enough to be a playoff team, but it's hard to see winning it all. The 1st half slog and 2nd half blowing doors on defense is maddening. The biggest issue to me is the lack of a nfl stud at wr. I like Antonio, but he's a frosh. Glad we're using the TE's and boy do I love the two rb's. The defense needs to be ready for 60 minutes, it seems like our offense is built on grinding the other team down with a physical running attack

that I (along with a heck of a lot of other fans) didn't have skepticism about our ability to win.
The media has reflected that skepticism, especially in the title games. That's why I take one-game-at-a-time. This year is no different from those others, although there are key positions casting doubt. Yet, I'm no guru, having been stunned over the years with victories, especially that royal stomp-down of Bama for the last title.
Lastly, make no mistake. There is not a fan base in this nation without the same doubts despite motormouthing from any. Those SOB's are blowing smoke up their own assssses with their posturing. I know it; they know it; they know that most others know it!

My point is right now we’re not good enough but we have 5 more weeks (4more games) plus hopefully and most likely the championship game. Let’s see where we are in December!

I’m not sure why this got TD’d. Maybe it was a little too succinct??
In ‘16 and ‘18 we had similar concerns of “why aren’t we playing like we are capable of?” But in those years it was because we knew we had at least 2-3 “erasers” on offense. Meaning dudes who would erase our mistakes or the other teams momentum. Dudes like DW4, Gallman, Mike Williams, TL16 , J Ross, ETN, Higgins,.
We’ve got a ton of talent all over the board and it’s probably more evenly spread than in years past (OL and TE). Right now the only “eraser” we have on offense is Ship. Williams is coming along but has yet to take over a game. We need 1 or 2 other dudes to take over games to make us a serious NC threat. If we don’t get that I’m not sure we are a serious threat to win it all. 12 wins, an ACC title and maybe a first round CFP win, which I wouldn’t complain about!
Right now it feels like the ‘17 team.
Like many of you I am watching each game waiting for that other guy to have a monster breakout and put everyone else on notice that it’s more than just #1 you’ve got to stop.
