I don't know about y'all but this is already one of the craziest year of firings I can remember....and we're only half way through the season.
With all the chaos, I'll be happy to see Dabo stay, but with some big changes to staff and philosophy.
Current Open Jobs
Arkansas Colorado St Florida LSU Oklahoma St Oregon St Penn St Stanford UCLA Va Tech
Jobs there are very possible to come open: Wisconsin Auburn Texas NC State UNC Boston College South Carolina (When Beamer goes to VT?) Vandy (When Clark Lea goes to another school)

Heard yesterday that Doeren out is a done deal. Said he wanted to retire at the end of last year but AD talked him into another year as they were already going through a coaching search for basketball.

Barring a miracle of major proportions, he's gone.
Once the carousel starts really moving with hires, it will get even crazier. When a HC leaves one school to go to another, that doesn't reduce the number of empty seats.
This will be a great year to be a top 5 G5 coach. There aren't enough P4 coaches to fill all the vacancies.

On the other hand there are 120 division 1 schools. 10 coaching spots open?

There are 67 P4 schools and 9 openings. 13.4% of the jobs are available with more to come.

Should probably add FSU to that list of future openings. And I would bet there will be some other surprise openings with coaches being poached to fill vacancies. It's a brand new world in college football. The age of a program being "patient" with a coach are over. At the P4 programs, 3 years might be the max a coach will be given to turn things around.

How many times will Dabo be allowed to to make major staff changes ? Been there done that numerous times now , without a change in receuiring and portal philosophy from Dabo the changes won’t help

I can understand Penn st. He was Tommy Bowden 2.0. LSU had no business ever hiring Kelly. Oil and vinegar from the get.
For anyone to even suggest Dabo getting the ax is ridiculous. He'll get it right. In his own words, he's not perfect. He's made coaching changes so it's not like he isn't trying.
Beamer doesn't want the va tech job. Fans at scar calling for Beamer to be fired are as ridiculous as calling for Dabo. Shane's done as much or better with scar than anyone else. I'll repeat McLain words on Beamer. It'll probably take a brownell situation to get scar respectable. Tough gig.

Winning matters at most schools nowadays, and dinosaurs that refuse to adapt ..fade away to extinction…

What would motivate Clark Lea to leave Vandy? Its his alma mater and he's proven he can win there under the current landscape of college football.
