Cole and the Bowl Game

Make the decision now about DW and Cole will be fine. The offense will have several weeks to work on the plays designed for Cole as QB, the defense will dominate.
Cole may not be as good as DW, but his issues have come when the team practiced all week for DW to play, and DW went out and Cole had to come in.
Announce now, and Cole will be fine. It is the indecision that hurts. Or at least announce within the team, have Cole take all the first team snaps.
Lastly, first is was just beat usc, now it win the Bowl Game. This is not a playof bowl, or the Orange Bowl, this is a bowl played on a Monday. Clemson has nothing to prove with a bowl win this year. But I do believe we will win.

I don't know for sure, but I bet Coach Venerables didn't pencil this one in as: "Just Another Bowl"!! He will have the Defensive side ready! And I expect some creative stuff on the Offensive side as well!! Go Tigers!!!!!!

I consider the difference between a 9-win season and a 10-win season VERY significant, so "nothing to prove" just does NOT ring true.

It's a consolation bowl. It won't make or break us.

In the grand scheme of things, unless you are in the playoff of one of the committee-picked games, your bowl game is most valuable for the extra practice time. We get that, win or lose.
I'd like to see us win, but this is a scrimmage with no season-altering consequences hinging on the outcome. A win may give us a tiny bump to optimism about next season, but it's not going to factor in any significant way.

I think Streeter will be much better coach for Cole. He was

not a good spread QB and Morris lost trust in him after that 1st interception against Gawja. How can you trust yourself when Morris simplified "20 plays for Cole" and allowed DW the whole playbook. I know Morris thought DW would play whole game against GT, however GT had heard about those "20 plays" and were ready for them, when Cole came in. I am personally glad Morris is gone, especially in prep. for bowl game!

I honestly think the decision has been made...
I, quite frankly, do not care anymore...its a mid-level bowl game and our seniors and athletes deserved better...so I am all about Watson being shelved until the Summer and lets put this season behind...
