Clemson lineup next year

This assumes everyone remains healthy.
PG: upgrade.... chase hunter played the PG position for the first time last year. He did a very good job and put up solid numbers. With a year of experience under his belt, he should have a better year next year. He could possibly be an all acc type player.
SG: upgrade.... Joe Girard has averaged double figures all 4 years in college including a sweet 16 team. He is a better and more consistent shooter than Galloway. Hopefully his defense is not a liability.
SF: downgrade.... Jack Clark is going to be good, but probably not a 1st team all acc performer. I think his defense is probably better than Tyson's but he's not as good of a shooter or scorer
PF: upgrade.... Schef made huge strides throughout the season and put up solid numbers his last 7 or so games. I expect him to continue to get stronger and refine his game in the off-season. We should see the best version of Schef that we have seen going into his junior year.
C: upgrade: if hall stays healthy this off-season and throughout the year, I expect him to be a first team all ACC performer. He should be great this upcoming year.
Bench: upgrade..... we basically have the same bench, but they will be sophomores. We will also have Hemenway. All freshman flashed at points last year and all are capable.

I'm not convinced Girard is much of an upgrade. Better shooter but he was a completely incompetent defender when asked to do nothing more than play guard in Boeheim's zone. I have serious doubts he's going to be capable of guarding anyone man to man.

All of those do, in fact, matter if we’re trying to weigh the likelihood that this team - upgraded in virtually every way according to you - will actually do anything. But since you’ve been this enthusiastic about our upgrades the last two years also, it gives us reason to question your player evaluation skills. Otherwise, Brad is an even worse coach than the most negative amongst us. Because to have upgraded for the last two years showing diminishing results would mean that he is truly terrible. I don’t even think he’s terrible. I just think he’s mediocre and we’ve have seen the most we’re going to get from him.
My position is that we have not been making significant upgrades and Brad is a mediocre coach showing consistently mediocre results. Spikes in win totals easily accounted for by strength of schedule variance. Your position is that he has better and better talent while while showing decreasing returns in RPI, NET, and post season success. Yours is actually the less favorable position for Brad’s actual coaching skills.

I expect rebounding to improve. If Hall stays healthy, he should substantially improve. I also think Schef will improve going into his Junior year with another year in our weight program.
Defensively we will have to wait and see. I think Clark is probably a better defender than TYson, but Girard probably isn't as good as galloway.

Suggesting each year is a net positive, yet returning 2 of 12, when the prior coaches save Shyatt were 9 of 21[since 64 teams], is patently stupid. Most intelligent people don't cotton to stupid.
It's not about having a decent season or wins, unless those wins mean something to the end or goal, which has been clearly stated as the NC2A.
You're welcome to your opinion, but not to hone facts out of your feels. That's absurd. Subjective truth is yours, hold it dearly, but offer it as anything save what it is and I'm not surprised someone sees JK2.0 in a post.

But even that is only a slight upgrade and everything else is a clear cut upgrade. Even when it’s returning players as if they are going to instantly better playing with a bunch of new faces than they were at the tail end of last season - when we’re blowing games to Louisville and Morehead St. Your assertions do not hold up under scrutiny. That’s not what he said. Clemson’s AD, nor its basketball coach, should be making administrative level decisions based on the whims of a single student athlete. It’s an indefensible position, regardless how well liked the player is. Regardless of the truth behind it, it should never be spoken publicly and is only further evidence how out of control of his own program Brownell actually is.

Obviously a reference to letting children, even “adult” children make decisions for adults. A direct response to your assertion that PJ wouldn’t have come back if Brownell wasn’t retained. Again, why would you mention it if we aren’t supposed to believe it influenced the decision. Sadly, Neff emailed me directly a little over a year ago stating that Hall’s return was part of his rational. So it’s a perfectly valid interpretation.

But making it public record BEFORE a decision was made has the very strong appearance of steering our AD. That Neff then validated that perception is problematic. That you’re pretending you’re not aware of all this is hard to believe and is why I believe you debate in bad faith and, on occasion, I respond with acrimony.

I am judging this from the Brownell supporters and their praise of him. His recruiting is lacking. He does fair in the portal. We just got the 31st best group in portal and the 7th best in the ACC.

Brad has averaged Top 40 talent over the last 5 years with an average season finish of 75th to show for it. So yeah, he does attract NCAA tournament level talent, which he craps the bed with.
