and 3 in a row against them.
I think Clemson will sweep them next year if Seabron does not return.

Might sweep them if he does return. Depending how much better they get. Do have Bates coming back from his injury. I think Sebron could be in the portal. he would be a huge get for someone who could win it all. Maybe like Kentucky or Kansas.

I'm not a believer in Keatts. The program is trending down. I think he's fired midseason next year.

That's why hoping if Brad departs Clemson can beat them to a better coach like a McMahon or Medved.

Brownell will likely finish out his current contract at the minimum. It doesn't make sense to pay him not to coach Clemson to get a coach with no experience coaching in the ACC.
Clemson should have a good team next year especially if Hunter Tyson comes back. Firing Brownell could lead to PJ Hall transferring.

OK, Judge...
It seems you are married to the Judge as much as you think about him. It is weird.
You are quick to fire a coach when you aren't the one who is paying the coach not to coach. You present yourself as some kind of bold leader willing to do what it takes to win but you aren't sacrificing anything and your plan is to roll the dice with some other coach who has never coached in the ACC.
You still haven't given one coherent reason why Clemson should be better at basketball than the majority of programs out there. Being a Clemson fanboy and Dabo won two natties in football aren't reasons. Clemson has gone to the tournament 2 out out of the last 4 or 5 seasons. I would be surprised if a lot of programs did not want PJ Hall and Brownell got him. That's the kind of player we need to get to be a top program and you want to run off the coach that got him. It makes no sense.

So you want a coach to finish out a contract? How is he supposed to recruit when kids need a guarantee he is going to be there the whole time? That is not smart business. No one does that.
And the ctap about a coach having ACC experience? There are good coaches who are better than most ACC coaches out there. Where do they start, as assistants? Sounds like you don't watch much college basketball nationally. The ACC is by far the worst Power Conference this season. Not even close. It actually has been very mediocre for the last 5 or 6 years if not more.

Why do you spend so much time watching and talking about a team and conference that you call mediocre.
I understand there are good coaches out there. We have one of them. What you want is a coach who will get the top recruits. None of the coaches you are talking about are getting the top recruits. There's no reason to believe they will get them at Clemson.
It funny how you present yourself as a big basketball expert but you compare college basketball to college football. Surely you would have noticed there are a lot more competitive programs and conferences in college basketball than football by now, basketball whiz.

You can't have a lame duck coach and expect success. If you don't believe in him, just move on.
I don't understand the logic behind the fear of good players transferring. If you make a good hire the good, committed ones with be here to build something even better. Who cares about the ones that leave, they weren't really invested anyway.

The inability of NC State to find a coach who can return the

Program to their traditional standards is truly baffling.
This is the school that pretty much invented the ACC tournament and dominated it for years.
They have a huge trophy case wit multiple ACC titles, National Championships, and All-American players.
And yet, they have been mired in mediocrity since they fired Herb Sendek because he wasn’t Everett Case, Norm Sloan, or Jim Valvano.
If we think that the struggles at Clemson to achieve basketball relevance from ground zero have been monumental, imagine how it must feel to be a Wolfpack fan once you’ve seen the mountain top.

I wouldn't give them too much credit for inventing the tournament. It existed in the southern conference. They just strong armed their way to have an advantage based on the big arena when the ACC was formed.

Yes. Reynolds Coliseum construction was actually already underway when Everett Case decided that 9,000 was too small and he talked the AD into altering the construction plans to expand it to over 12,000 by simply extending the footprint from a square to a rectangle configuration. It was a very inelegant solution creating terrible sight lines for fans, but it was done to accommodate the ACC Tournament and give NC State a huge home advantage.
