Clemson has put THREE players in the NBA since Brownell

got here. Two of those, Jaron Blossomgame and Donte Grantham played in a total of 30 games in the NBA between them, and each was done after 1 season. KJ McDaniels played in 148 games over 4 seasons with 3 teams and averaged 5.28 pts per game.
Our recruiting and player development has sucked a giant donkey dong under Brownell. That's not my opinion, it's an objective, demonstrable fact. No wonder we struggle to attract top talent, and have such a bad post season history.
Schools with smaller budgets than Clemson that have put more players in the NBA since Brownell came to Clemson:

The guy who coached number 2 on that list, is available and would be cheap (relatively). And he wasn’t pulling in 5 stars with big money. He found 3 star diamonds in the rough and put them in the league.

Stanford gets to draw from 40 million people without leaving the state....I'm guessing if you can sign your name for the SAT, you scored high enough to get in at Memphis, so not really an apples to apples comparison.

every single situation down particle by particle. The specific argument has been made, however, that Clemson can't compete at a higher level due to, and that our basketball failures and limitations can be explained by, our level of funding. I have clearly, repeatedly demonstrated that many schools with similar or even much lower funding do not suffer the same level of failures and limitations. Rather, they consistently perform at a higher level.
I actually agree with you, and it's my whole point - there's more to it than money. Other factors are very important. One of those very important factors is who you have as your head coach, and that's one that we totally control, and can change very easily. However, if we really believe this is the absolute best we can do, I am 100% serious when I say save the money and the frustration, and scrap our basketball program and put the resources toward other things which have a better chance at success.
