Clemson family is disappointing me

Jan 6, 2017, 12:14 AM

Not all, but some. Someone listed their tickets for $900 each, so I contacted them almost immediately. No response. Dude took his ad down some 15 mins later and at that point I figured that they're sold. Nope. An hour later the dude relists them at $1,000.

I'm all for ppl making a bit of profit, but that's messed up. He must have gotten a lot of responses and then got greedy. Not even going to ask about the tix this time. Also, how hard is it to not post wants under for sale. Seriously.

I think the hunt for tix is getting to me. :/

How do you know it was a Clemson alum?

Jan 6, 2017, 12:18 AM

And what price do you feel is "fair" for a Clemson alum to sell to you for?

Ppl can list them for what they like, but have some integrity. It's not like the current prices are some kind of secret mystery. If you ask a certain amount and then someone offers to pay it then honor it. Ppl can list them for whatever they want. In fact I'd be happy for them if they find a buyer. I know what it's worth to me though. What was LISTED was worth it to me.

I guess you think that it's okay to bait and switch ppl though. Do you also sell cars?

Listing was in the tickets section of TNet. Dude has been a member for a few years now. One can only assume I guess.

I am happy with Clemson family

Jan 6, 2017, 12:27 AM

Bought two tickets for $1,600 each in lower level between 30s. Well above face value, well below similar section tickets on StubHub, and right around my target price (was expecting to pay $1,500 for these seats).

Everybody wins!

Oh man, awesome. I'd like to spend that kind of coin, but I'm also buying performance parts for my car. First world problems lol. Enjoy the game.

then have an honest conversation with you. Correct not to deal further with him.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Still surprises me

Jan 6, 2017, 12:51 AM

It's still amazing to me how some people seem to be, or at least act, naive when it comes to dealing with money.

We don't really know what happened with this individual, but I think it's safe to assume that you are correct with your assumption that he thought he could get a better deal.

If your (our) assumption is correct, I don't like it or agree with what he did.

With that said, this is a "business" venture for him.

It still amazes me when people seem so shock when people want a better deal.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No deal

Jan 6, 2017, 12:53 AM

Unless he made a promise or established an agreement with you, then I don't think he's wrong in his approach.

what?? we're really not all Family?

Jan 6, 2017, 5:37 AM

and not every Clemson fan has Dabo's principles?

yeah, that bandwagon gets kinda crowded right about now, doesn't it?

but wait until after Monday....

"we'll" be the "new Alabama",

Wait--Clemson fans now need to share Dabo's "principles"?

Jan 6, 2017, 7:06 AM

I've been a fan a whole lot longer than he's been the coach. I think he should share my principles.

well unfortunately, you're not the face of the program ....

A new house down the street from me was listed at $279K and nobody was looking at it. After a few months, the builder raised the price of the house $10,000. The house sold within a week for the higher price.

Point is - sometimes you have to raise the price to sell an item. Just sayin'.

Doesn't cost me a thing to sit in my comfortable home, watch the game on my big screen, and not fight crowds. I have better uses for my money than spending $3000 to watch a football game.

I'd say no offense but I don't care. Quit whining. A LOT of people can't make it to Tampa i.e me. But I'm not on social medias whining. I love Clemson football more than anything and that isn't an exaggeration but I'm not gonna whine and gripe if ticket prices for a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP game.
