Clemson All-Time Results vs ACC

Dec 1, 2021, 11:11 AM

Out of the 13 other ACC teams, Clemson had a winning record against 9 of them. They are the following, in order from highest win pct to lowest.

Louisville 7-0 (1.000)
Virginia 40-8-1 (.827)
Syracuse 8-2 (.800)
Wake 69-17-1 (.799)
Duke 37-16-1 (.694)
Boston College 20-9 (.677)
NC State 59-29-1 (.669)
UNC 38-19-1 (.664)
Virginia Tech 23-12-1 (.653)

The teams Clemson either has an even, or losing record against:

Miami 6-6 (.500)
FSU 14-20 (.412)
Georgia Tech 34-50-2 (.402)
Pittsburgh 2-3 (.400)

Of these teams we can easily go ahead of/catch up to Miami and Pitt, it’s just a matter of we don’t play them very often. We play FSU every year and if they continue to stay down we could make this a very close series over the next several years… Georgia Tech unfortunately is the one that would take a very long time if we were to ever catch them. It would take 17 more undefeated years against the yellow jackets, which the way things change in college football seems like a long shot.

Anyways, Go Tigers!

Many of those loses to Ga Tech came before they were in the ACC. The same could be true for Miami.

That GT record burns me up every time I see it. I'm confident we'll even that record and turn it into a winning percentage in my lifetime (which, hopefully, is at least another 30 years long) but it will take a win:loss ratio of about 3:1. The last 10 years have been great (9-1) but the 20-year record, not including the vacated 2009 ACCCG game, is only about a 2:1 ratio (13-7).

We're making great progress on leveling out the FSU record. If we can consistently beat them on a 2:1 ratio the series will be even in about 20 seasons.

This was something I was thinking about while reading the c00t boreds... we want to play more and win against our rivals with better records. We really don't care to play ensured wins... other than to spite other arrogant fanbases.

C00ts don't know why they keep playing us and adding another L on the "tough" schedule against Vandy Mizzou, and Kentucky... plus whichever sunbelt team give them a whoopin'

They look to get out of a rivalry because they don't win enough. I guess that is why they don't play Duke anymore.

THAT is THEIR culture right there.

Meanwhile, we talk about swapping them with Jawja, we want to play Minnesota, FSU, GT, Pitt, and anyone else we can that we do not have an advantage with. We want to "even" or exceed the score. That is our culture.

They are a victim culture looking for others to victimize, the easier the better. We are a hero culture that look to topple giants and fight for our place. The bigger the odds, the more we want to fight.
