Lot's of people will have lots of explanations for what the difference was. I have my own ideas, but they could be wrong.
All I know for sure is that was an outstanding effort by all three phases of the game.

Coaching gets the credit for yesterday’s play I think. GT came out ready to play and took the opening kickoff easily down the field for a quick score. That quickly got everyone’s attention because that was IT for the “Rambling Wrecks”. They had ONE yard rushing until late in the third quarter when the coaches emptied the bench. Whatever Dabo and staff said Ozr did really worked. Next UP ... the Tarholes. Be There. A Very Big Game in Death Valley.

GT scored on their 3rd possession after we tried a fake punt and gave them the ball on our 25 yard line. They only got 8 yards on each of their first 2 possessions. We gave them that first TD with the fake punt.

Yeah, and Wes knew we could feast. I'd like to hear Bret's assessment. Mine is this. We've played 5 teams this season that actually has a defense with a pulse. We're 1-4 against those teams and 3-0 against the others.
The next two games, albeit the victory margin may not be as good, we'll be able to play ball control. Churn out first downs and keep their offense off the field. As long as we don't give them points, we'll get easy wins. Really not that complicated.
It'll be interesting to see if we get a decent team in the bowl.

I think the NC game will be a good test to see how much we really have improved. I don’t think their defense is very good but their offense is certainly explosive. I agree that we have struggled against teams with decent defenses and I think NC’s defense may be just bad enough give us the advantage. I think SC’s inability to protect the QB will provide enough advantage for us to get that win.

Yes Sir. It'll be very interesting to see how Wes will play unc being that Drake can Read a defense... but if we can keep him running for his life, he will make a mistake and throw it up for grabs. I think we'll shorten the game.

Hope so. If we can run on them, and I think we can, we should run the ball and run the clock and limit their possessions.

Congratulations on your game. The simplified offense line scheme has enabled us to use the talent gap to win. No surprise here. Should be about the same this week.

I have only 2 complaints: 1. Can the offense start faster at the beginning of the game and definitely coming out at halftime.
2. No turnovers.
It’s nice to see the coaches and team having some fun again.

I agree. I think the difference is the OL change and that Riley has taken over the majority of the play calls (except for fake punts from our own 21).

I disagree. I still think our best was the FSU game. You could see yesterday coming from a mile away. The only team Tech had played with a defensive pulse was Miami... and we all know what they did.
Odd why I can't TU or give award to you.

Agreed on the FSU game. People seem to write that one off because we did not win - but we played really well. That is what made the Miami & NCST games so disappointing.
