Chris Fowler calling the Natty

I have watched the NC game several times so maybe I have each play memorized. I have noticed that Chris Fowler mis-spoke a couple times when Clemson scored. Did you pickup on his mistakes?
Spoiler alert!
1. When ETN scored his second TD to make it 21-16, Fowler said something like "and Clemson strengthens its lead." Well actually we retook the lead.
2. When ETN scored his 3rd TD Fowler said " and ETN adds a second TD."
Am I wrong? Just a good trivia questions for the your grandkids.

There were a couple of bloopers, but overall not a bad broadcast. I like the two working together.

He said strengthen the lead when we went up 37-16......he said 2nd TD on etns 3rd TD implying that it was his 2nd rushing TD.....

Just checked. He said "Stretching the lead" when we made it 21-16.

I noticed the same thing on the YouTube copy I always watch and was wondering if it has audio transposed or if it’s actually how he said it. Would like to check another copy to verify but I always notice when I watch just as you did.

yes he did! I remember that from the game and told my son he knew something we didn't at that moment. He saw the blowout developing.

I didn't catch it live, but did notice he said ETN's second on his third TD when I watched the replay.

When we retook the lead Fowler said 'stretches the lead' (or strengthens the lead) when we were only retaking the lead. It was a faux pas that surely every football fan in the nation noticed.
Herbie when calling the pass Trevor threw to Ross that result in the one handed circus catch seemed to say it was a great throw. You can say that since Ross caught it but the throw was not as good as the catch. And Dabo joked about it by asking Trevor to throw it better 'cause he was making Ross look too good.
