What he says makes a lot of sense. On this topic and many others. I remember many years ago when he said he wasn’t anyone’s role model. He was just a ball player. Kid’s role models should be parents. He’s been making sense all along.

Completely agree. At some point this arms race is going to make schools push their donor base too far. We already see it with ever increasing prices. It is unsustainable and nobody wants to do anything about it. This is a bubble and they all burst at some pojnt.

The one thing he misses (IMO) is the NCAA does not want to ever lose in court again. I doubt they actually approve of college athletes betting on pro sports, but they probably already know banning it is a losing proposition in court.

In this instance, the NCAA is just trying to survive by staying in their (legal) lane.
