CFP Bama or Louisville

Bama loses to Auburn and Ohio State beats Michigan, Washington loses but wins PAC 12
Auburn wins SEC Clemson wins ACC Ohio State wins Big Ten
Who is the fourth one in to CFP
Louisville Bama Washington
If Auburn wins, that messes with the SEC and ESPN

But Bama will have lost at the end of the year. A factor they are suppose to consider.

No, exactly the opposite. They said last year one loss was one loss no matter when it was. They only consider the who they lost to.

A one loss Bama would get in over a two loss Auburn, conference champ or not. Bama is a playoff team no matter what happens in a rivalry game.

THIS I would LOVE to see. Can you just imagine the squirming and desperate shucking and jiving by the CFP committee faced with an (OBVIOUSLY UPSET) 1 loss - NON CONFERENCE CHAMPION!!!! - Bama?!?!
Though I did hear one of the talking heads say on the radio just this week that certain members of the committee were using the term 'four best teams' for playoff....
I would LOVE to see this happen! That and having two teams in the playoff that we had beaten..,,

I think Bama loses to LSU and to Auburn. This season is young yet, any team could lose and still comeback and get in if they get hot and win their conference after the loss. We could lose to FSU and still be in by winning out with acc championship.
I think Wv, Michigan, Washington, Baylor and Bama all lose before the season end.

I could potentially see Bama losing to Auburn, think its their best chance at losing, but losing to LSU? I don't see it happening. Alabama is built to stop LSU, sure LSU can run #7, but Bama will put 8 in the box and I see no way LSU makes them respect the pass.

Champions in the playoffs.

Unless that WHOLE conference obviously fails the "eye tests".
From college football formats from the past to today, we want to find "the best team in the country". That's true, however, it has to be through games, not just "eye test". If it's all about eye test, we can go back to the old days of AP and Coaches Polls and let the "experts" vote for the national champion.
So, to go to the playoffs, I truly believe that qualifying teams must win their conference title, period. It doesn't really matter if you have "that team" that looks better. Again, it doesn't matter.
If anyone follows soccer (I really don't, but I know about it), for example English Premier League, the best team in the league is, well, the team that wins the league. But at the same time, there is a "league cup" that is in playoff format. It's not always the best team in the league that wins this cup. It's all about the best team that wins every playoff game.
That's my reason I stand by it that playoff teams should only come from conference champions, unless in a very very rare circumstance.

These arguments are dumb. There is literally no way Louisville gets in unless the wheels fall off for Clemson.
They're not putting a one loss Louisville in over an unbeaten Boise State.
