The 3 teams picked to win the ACC on College Gameday were Va Tech, Ga Tech, and of course Fl State. Does that surprise you? Not me. They just want to get a rise!!!

I don't think they mentioned "Clemson" the entire broadcast. Not even when they were talking about Notre Dame's schedule. They talked about them going to GT, but NO mention of going to Death Valley. Pathetic

It was like they purposely were not mentioning Clemson during that broadcast.
They put up Notre Dames schedule and mention USC, Stanford, Ga Tech, even Navy! Not a #### word about a game vs a probably top 10 team in Death Valley.

On why Clemson can win the Natty this year. And he mentions that he is so tired of hearing that word that anyone mentioning it now is just ignorant.

They give a pass to FSU, but they hate the fact that....

we are doing great right now. The more ACC teams that do good, the less talent the $EC receives. Clemson is the original powerhouse of the ACC. And ESPN hates the fact that we are getting 5 and 4 star recruits that would have in the past gone to UGA, UF, Bama, Auburn, UT, and LSU.

Honestly, those are all good guesses.

Last year with a stellar defense, we lost to two of those teams, and VT (who we did not play), was able to clobber Ohio State. This year, our defense will have a little drop off, although I hope it won't be much. DW has shown brilliance and I'm not too worried about him being injured again, but what worries me was how he played the start of the Louisville game. It makes me wonder if he can be rattled into a funk (like he was in that game until he injured his hand). Also, I have concerns about protecting DW with a thin OL. A few injuries on the OL and we are in trouble. All of that being said, we haven't won the ACC in several years and Florida State has owned the conference. GT has been to the Championship game several times and clubbed Georgia and Miss State to end last season. If we want to be picked to win it next year, we have to prove it on the field by beating GT and especially Florida State this year. Until we do that, people shouldn't be picking us based solely on hype. Let the season play out. Preseason predictions are almost always wrong and they hold zero meaning.

Great post. Took the words right out of my mouth. I just don't understand why everyone gets so mad because ESPN's talking heads don't pick us to win. Boo hoo. We have to prove it first, in my opinion. We have been at the door for a couple years now but we have still failed to walk through it. Hopefully this is the year. Until then, I don't blame anyone for picking teams that have proven they can win the big regular season games that matter the most. Whether we like it or not, the acc is FSU's to lose until we can knock them off the hill.
