we're "supposed" to be an educated football fanbase, yet only a few of us called this 5 years ago.
this didn't happen overnight.......we've been headed to this point fast.

the ACC championships of 2022 & 2024 tricked Dabo and most of our fanbased into thinking that problems were non-existent.......the ACC insulated Dabo to the REAL issues.
his OOC p4 record vs mediocre+ teams since 2021 is atrocious

1. We made our Coach feel like he was above reproach.
2. He got complacent and started hiring unqualified coaches and staff members and built a circle of “yes men”.
3. He failed to adjust to NIL and the portal. Instead of adapting, he took a stand against both in some sort of twisted sense of morality.
4. Here we are today, a staff full of “yes men” who don’t dare challenge their dear leader. They just hopped on the bus and smiled as Dabo drove it off a cliff.

Add in that he's recruiting players with emphasis on graduation and Christianity. Both of those are great qualities but isn't the same standard of the schools who excel pretty much year in and year out. We have good men playing for us but perhaps not excellent players.

1. Become overconfident.
2. Put too much stock in culture and too little in talent.
3. Hire/promote unqualified coaches.
4. Fail to embrace the single most important factor in recruiting (money, AKA NIL).
5. Fail to utilize a ready-made avenue to obtain talented players who have already proven themselves at the college level (transfer portal).
6. Use your bully pulpit to criticize fans, the media, and anyone else who disagrees with you.

It’s easy. Dabo was great at selling great facilities and too recruits mama’s.
None of that matters when other school can just wave dollars in their face.
Dabo is not willing to do that, so we can’t compete in this environment.
That’s literally it. There is no mystery here.

Two natties, best run in program history = most head coach autonomy in program history… bevy of bad coaching hires , hiring former players , family and friends without any questioning, lost sense of urgency … equals what you got today.
This was all unintentionally designed to happen.
Just has been 5 years in the making.

Bad evaluations,recruiting misses,development,coaching,nil, not using the transfers portal to replace transfers and not adjusting to change in college football by the head coach.
