Private schools are competing against public schools ? It's getting old seeing i.m.g. go around smashing public schools. They beat w. Ontario 98-0;by halftine.

With 20-30 4-5* caliber recruits from other statesm. Impressive? The school has been good to us in recruiting. The southeast is overflowing with 5* talent already, now they're getting the 5* west coast guys too.

They actually have lost a few games over the past few years. No excuse for any loss, ever, for u.mg. but they find a way to lose every now and then.

I called the schsfb director and asked him. He said it brought more parity. Ummmm... really? Schsfb has become so ridiculous. I actually laughed and told him I think ibthought he was under qualified for his position.

many schools or states dont give private schools opportunity for sports scholarships. And therfore many of the best players cant afford to go to private school.

Athletic Directors in SC have been fighting that battle for years and have not won.

In Florida here is how it works.

Private schools like IMG, Montverde Academy and others, do not compete for state championships. They do not follow the same rules as the state mandates. They recruit, give scholarships, and do other things the high school governing body does not allow. (Florida High School Activities Association in Florida.) They may play some FHSAA schools but they are not part of the organization. (A little like FBS schools can play FCS schools, but they are not eligible for the FCS championship because they do not follow FCS rules.)

There are a group of HS that have formed their own organization in basketball and they have their own national championship tourney every year.

Sounds like where we are heading in college football with the professionalization of college football as the first step and then the privatization of it soon to follow as consolidated conferences work out their own media deals and eventually establish their own championship.
