Don’t knock the man if you don’t know what you are talking about, having coached in the SC high school ranks for 25+ years , I have met him numerous times and he is 10x the recruiter that Goodwin was . Goodwin is one of the worst recruiters ever ! Clemson is getting a toughnose , aggressive coach that is a relentless recruiter . He has great ties and relationships in south Florida That will be an instant help !

We need a tough coach hopefully he will bring a new attitude to our defense something that was sorely missing from our current defense. We have a very good crop of players getting the nasty out of them is up to a good coach...

I said no to the comment about $1.5M leaving our NIL funds. I believe Allen can recruit just fine.

Penix was a 3 star qb. I’m sure it wasn’t hard to get him in to IU. Not saying he wasn’t a good recruit, but let’s be real….. not as good of scouting as back when. I feel like many schools look at stars and decide to visit schools.

He got a few nice 4* commits too. He couldn't keep his indy staff from being raided. Indy class was 30th and that's amazing.
Indy reminds me of a bigger Duke, bball is king but they will support football.

Recruitment is different now when the only recruiting pitch is how much money can I get. There's still some out there that go about it the old fashion way, but the days of Clemson selling itself and family atmosphere is all but gone.

to commit to Indiana while he was there. Trevell was a 4* CB recruit and considered a big pickup for Indiana. We know how Trayvon turned out.. I think Clemson would be an easier sell than Indiana for obvious reasons. If he can get a Florida kid to come and play at Indiana, I would think he could recruit well here IMO.
