preaching that competition as each position between good players makes each player better.

Well the same concept can be applied to the team. Competition against good teams makes the team better.

While I'm not pinning our loss to SCU on being in the ACC but it can be a factor towards the end of the season if you've played inferior teams/talent. We were even tested by NC St and to some degree by BC.

When we say this you call us insane. Fact is, when we struggle with Florida or lose to UT, even those teams have 2 times the talent as the teams you play in the ACC.
Even in a down year for the SECE this year, once again...yesterday....the SEC East alone went 3-1 against their ACC rivals.

South Carolina baseball since 1975: 31 NCAA Tournament appearances including a streak of 14 straight / 12 Super Regional appearances/ 11 College World Series berths / 5 National Championship game appearances / National Champions in 2010 and 2011. The Gamecocks hold 3 NCAA records for postseason success: The most consecutive NCAA tournament wins (22) / The most consecutive wins in the College World Series (12) / The most consecutive home NCAA tournament wins (29).
Since 1992 The Gamecocks have competed in the SEC and have 4 SEC titles / 1 SEC tournament title / 7 SECE titles.

You guys are right it's Dabo's fault we are in the Acc. He ruins everything. We need Bowden, Hatfield, or West back.

And my fear for the Clemson's and FSU's and VT's of the world is that there doesn't seem to be any concern over it at the ACC level.
People want to believe this is just a "cycle" but if a conference consistently makes decisions that put football on the back burner, the product will not "cycle".
In the modern era, the ACC is bringing down these proud football programs (Clemson, VT, FSU, Miami) as opposed to the programs lifting the ACC up.
And NO, this doesn't make a Coot happy. It is better for this state if Clemson is a good football team. YES, we still want to win but we want CLemson to be a proud football team.
Just look at our pitiful basketball programs over the last 20 years.......nobody wants that.

BS. Our schedule had jack #### to do with Humphries dropping the #### ball or Morris calling that dumb #### play or Dumbo leaving Humphries in to return kicks or Morris not feeding McDowell enough. These SEC conspiracy theories really get old guys. It's just a cop out for poor coaching. "Well Dabo can't be blamed for us being soft because we play a soft schedule." BS, nice try though Dumbo apologists.
