SEC also had the weakest opponents. Isn't that strange for the "suppossedly" best conference in the nation.

Interesting to see all the numbers now. SEC definitely made a statement after last year's embarrassing showing, that's for sure. But they also seemed to play some weak teams so it's hard to tell.
I certainly don't love the fact that ND, FSU, and UNC all lost, but at the end of the day, that's for them to worry about - we'll just forge ahead to 15-0, thanks.

We handed OU their ### for the second season in a row, if we educate in the redzone it would have a 35 point game.

Except for the National Championship game, bowl games mean absolutely Nothing.

That's exactly right. They aren't as important as a regular season game, and you certainly can't judge a conference strength based on the bowl results.

Small correction to your numbers: The ACC went 4-5 (not including Notre Dame) in bowls thus far. Miami, North Carolina, NC State, Pittsburgh, and Florida State all lost. Clemson, Louisville, Duke, and Virginia Tech all won.
Of course once Clemson beats Alabama on 11 JAN all that SEC conference chest pounding and bowl game stats won't mean a thing....
