Big lefty from Hickory

Article on the new commit reminded me about a commitment from a few years back, a big lefty out of Hickory named McAlpine. I don't see him on the roster nor can I find anything online. Whatever happened to that guy?

Madison Bumgarner is a Hickory boy as well. Nice to see that small little town turning out some baseball talent.

Never made it out of the fall. Just didn't fit in, cussed out an academic advisor, and mysteriously disappeared.
