I think it's only a matter of timing as to whether the "Super CFP League" takes shape first (with the unlikely ESPN/SEC contract abrogation), or the buyout for Clemson reduces to $135-$110 million in 2-3 years.... If "Clemson's stock" continues to perform well, then I don't think the BIG will pass on a good buying opportunity, even at a premium price....

It took Clemson having a defense that could not stop a nosebleed for the chickens to win. That problem has been fixed. Clemson is about to open a can of whoop &$s this season in football.

I’d be shocked if South Carolina is even in consideration for a “super league”. They just don’t bring anything in relation to football to a league that will be relying on football revenue. The lack of any type of championship success, the fact that everyone in the country views Clemson as the premier program in the state with 3 National CHAMPIONSHIPS and top 10 in brand recognition nationwide doesn’t bode well for South Carolinas future
