much 💰💰💰💰💰💰💰 Dabo has made for Clemson University, Clemson Athletics and what he has accomplished for Clemson. He has also brought in new money into Clemson, Seneca, Easley and surrounding areas. Dabo is a very intelligent Head Coach who I trust will figure out the issues at Clemson or at another program if forced out,
Media outlets like ESPN, 24/7 Sports, Yahoo Sports, Google Sports and others sports podcast pride themselves on accomplishing getting coaches fired. It elevates their brand and makes themselves a lot of money.
College Sports being run by dishonest idiots 🤥🤥🤥🤥 and is all about Greed and 💰💰💰💰💰 now and many fans are talking the bait 🐅🐅🐅 ✊✊✊
There are some fans on this board that cannot handle losing. I posted copies of Head Coach’s as far back as Frank Howard. Danny Ford is the only Clemson Head Coach that has come close to achieving what Dabo has accomplished.
He is having his first real struggle at 1-3 yet after his track record you are ready to send him packing. 😒 Maybe some do not Dabo because of his Christian Beliefs. If that’s the case man up and say so. But don’t treat a Head Coach who has had success most of his time as our Head Coach like the coots and other programs have treaded their Head Coach before the ran him out of town.
Don’t turn this into another Ken Hatfield embarrassment. Stop letting ESPN, other media personalities or former Head Coaches with their negative comments cause you to turn on Dabo.
I have noticed a lot of new non paying members who have joined Tigernet as a troll from another program to negatively impact our recruiting or did the newbies sign up to pile on more criticism onto Dabo, his staff or the players.
I am confident Dabo will workout the issues his program and the new landscape in the now chaotic pay for play greed that drives college football.
Give Dabo the opportunity he has earned to turn the program around. It may take a year or maybe even 2 years to get back on track.
I hear from many about how great Saban was before retiring. Saban was the Head Coach at two of the top programs in college football. LSU and Alabama. Programs with lots of money. And I am not sure either University was always playing be the rule book.
You can criticize a Head Coach and the team while still supporting the program. But Clemson may have to find new revenue sources to remain a CFP program year after year.
Some have mentioned the 1981 National Championship. Do you remember what happened after that. 2 years of probation by the NCAA and the ACC added an extra year.
I am calling for patience even though those little chicks in our State Capitol are going to slam us every chance they have until we as a Clemson Family work through current issues. I never have had a good feeling about NIL or revenue sharing. And the TP needs major adjustments.
Our legislators have turned the keys to the ROY Bus to 17,18,19, 20 and 21 year old immature kids with a pile of 💰💰💰💰💰💰. Eliminate Scholarships, force the players to earn all sources of income and let them pay for their own education. Structure NIL so a player’s performance guidelines determine NIL payouts. If necessary college athletes should have to pay for training and knowledge passed on to those that have a future NFL, A % of a player’s signing bonus should have top go back to the college football program that got them into the pros !!! Take into account The use of the schools facilities and dietary guidelines they received while in college along with other perks that enabled players to make it to the pros !!! Take lessons from pro sports, over paid athletes who many times under perform with those guaranteed contracts. !!!!!!!! !!!
Coach Sweeney I am “ All In “ I hope the Majority of Clemson fans are too 🐅
Go Tigers !!!

Very good post! Maybe WE ALL need to sit back a little and give Dabo the needed time to right the ship. Myself included. Hopefully he has privately recognized the problems and is already on track to fixing them. You are 100% on the revenue stream. Without question, Dabo created an economic engine boom for Clemson and many of the surrounding communities within a 50 mile radius.

I don’t pay for this stupid site but I give to iptay and have 6 season tickets. Dabo has been compensated for what he’s done for the program but it doesn’t give him free rein to not use the resources available to him to make the team better. Then get up there and saying its in gods hands. That be like you having a heart attack and not calling the doctor and saying it’s in gods hands

So Sandy2323, are you saying Dabo makes the huge salary as a motivation to do what you and other Clemson fans want him to do? If that's what Clemson University paid for, they are being ripped off in a big way! But if that huge salary is because we believe in him and his philosphy as a Head Coch, what's the point in "blasting him" when you think it isn't working? If you want to quit contributing to the Athletic Program, that's your right. But to demand that Dabo, or any other coach, do it "your way" is foolish. No coach, or leader of any sort, is going to make everybody happy. If you're a leader at any level you know that is true. So I applaud Dabo for standing firm on a philosophy that has served us well thus far. He will turn it around! I believe! Go Tigers!

Going into the fifth season of decline is a good bit of patience for a fanbase. Even then, I still don’t think most of us want him fired. We just want him to wake up and right the ship. Not drive into oncoming traffic and say Gods going to fix it.

Its not an all or nothing deal like he assumes it is. Not many actual people are wanting him fired. However, he is currently the second highest paid coach in football, and he hasn't had the second place team in about 5-6 years. Thats underperformed. This isn't a one season thing, its just to the point wherebits undeniable now. People don't want excuses, they want change. That doesn't need to be Dabo IMO at all, because I love Dabo. But I do not want to hear another word about 5 years ago when you're pissing away the talent we have on this team currently. You have to answer for it. People act as if fair criticism and asking questions means you dont appreciate Dabo or want him gone. Its not either/or. Tell me though, if 1-3 is acceptable, what record over time isnt? I can name you about 10 coaches right now that would not be 1-3 with this team. But to act as if we should all just sit there and worship a coach and give him blank checks without raising a single question while hes wasting talent is ridiculous. I think his one Achilles heel as a coach is his pride. He needs some humility. And hes getting it.

Dabo's first full year as a head coach there were 19,111 underrate and graduate applications for Clemson. in 2025 there were 64,852 first-year applications. Dabo has helped more than football players. He has helped Clemson become a national university!

Yes, but that’s not the only factor. On school applications, a quick check of Grok for USC says:
“In 2008, the University of South Carolina received approximately 12,000 freshman applications. This estimate is derived from the university's reported 10,000 applications per year in 2004, with steady growth over the subsequent years leading up to the mid-2010s (reaching around 20,000 by 2015).
“In 2024, the university received more than 50,000 freshman applications, a record at the time and a 13% increase from the prior year's 46,000.”
Also from Grok: “Over the last 20 years (roughly 2005–2025), most large U.S. colleges and universities—particularly public flagships and selective privates with enrollments exceeding 20,000 students—have experienced substantial increases in freshman applications, often doubling or tripling in volume. This mirrors the ~300% growth seen at the University of South Carolina (from ~12,000 in 2008 to over 50,000 in 2024). The surge is driven by factors like expanded use of online platforms (e.g., Common App), test-optional policies, aggressive recruitment, and students applying to more schools on average (now 5–7 vs. 2–3 in the early 2000s). However, while applications have boomed, actual freshman enrollment has grown more modestly or stagnated due to limited capacity, leading to lower acceptance rates.”
