You absolutely loved seeing USuCk whup-up on Tennessee. You hate em but the love for Clemson and desire to see our team promoted toward the goal of making the playoff delighted you. I know I did. It wasn't as if I broke out a garment of garnet or black but it ticked me to watch.

They gave up 49 at home. The voters had no justification for putting them in the top ten. Top ten teams do not give up 49 points at home. Yeah, they got a bit of offense but they are a one trick pony which would do well in the Big 12.

I believe Saturday was probably the best game the coots have ever played in the history of coot football. I can’t see lightning striking twice. Everything that could go right for the coots did and everything went wrong for Tenn. happened. Spencer Rattler was playing out of his mind and definitely way above his talent level. The entire football team played way above its talent level.
It helps that coots fans finally stayed for all 4 quarters, you had an uninspired Tenn team that did not really want to be their last night. Tenn was sluggish from the time they stepped on the field. It did not help that Tenn had to take a 3 to 4 hour bus ride to WB.
It reminded me of the Clemson / ND game this year, And it reminds me of the West Virginia BG. From the beginning everything that could go wrong did. At ND we slept through the first half. But we still held ND to 14 points then held ND scoreless in the 3rd quarter. Unfortunately we did not score either. I hate to say it but the team gave up did not give up but the Defense was exhausted in the 4th quarter. Mainly because everything continued to go wrong for the Tigers.
Tenn is a better team than SC and they will not for get Shane Beamer for running up the score just to pad stats and set some new coot records. They probably got Beamer another year or two in cootsville. But lets not forget they are still the coots with 100 year of bad football history.
IMO this game will stick with Tenn until the next time SC and Tenn meet. The Vols will get their revenge.
As for our game this week. I believe Dabo will have Clemson ready to play. It’s quite possible the coots expended all their energy in the Tenn. The coot / Tenn game will probably I hope Dabo will put a copy of todays Newspaper in every Clemson locker and in every coaches office.
Our game Sat is a “put the coots back in their place game”. I am sure Dabo and the Tigers took notes on how Beamer purposely ran up the score. As long as we play our game Clemson will take care of business. Beamer is probably telling his team did lose your 8th straight game while Dabo is telling the Tigers history awaits the Tigers by winning it’s 8 straight game in DV.
Last night we held Miami’s offense under 100 yards of total offense and 1 garbage TD. We still have a shot at the CFP’s.
I am confident we will handedly take care of business Saturday. DJ, Shipley, and the WRU’s and the Defense will take care of business.
Let’s be positive when posting this week but try not give them bulletin board material. Those crazy coots will be checking this board all week. Don’t let the coots think we are worried about the game with them. Let’s get inside their heads.

You are call me a coot? When I spent $60,000 for my daughter’s education at Clemson. I was at the 1981 NC game, the 45-0 beat down of the coots. I live for times when I can give he&$ to my in law side of the family.

It is always better when the Clemson/Carolina game means something. Beating a Carolina that just stomped a very good Tennessee team will help CFP chances.
Although what is needed is for Clemson to dominate Carolina next Saturday and not merely squeak out a win We just need DJ to play a complete game and it should happen.

Losing four games, upsetting UT's hope for PO and furnishing rump for us to whup up on next week. Imo that will give us the bump we need to make the PO of OSU and ND do their jobs this coming weekend. I hate that we're backing into the playoff rather than 'Kicking down the door,' as Dabo says but it's a big deal for a team that missed only last year to return.

If we do get a playoff invite (I don’t think we belong there) but if we do, this year I’m glad we aren’t kicking down the door. Clemson needs to go in knowing they have to play and not being cocky like they did against LSU and Ohio St. Those were two games where Clemson should have won and got stunned with complacency

OSU they definitely should have beaten...but Dabo's blatant disrespect for OSU by ranking them #11 in his final coaches polls gave them bulletin board material and they whipped our @ss....as far as LSU...that offense was just too much especially after losing all 4 starting DL's to graduation and that lack of pass rush hurt.

Any team can beat anyone on any given day....
Is it in the realm of possibilities that we lose the state championship next Sat. Yes, it is. BUT... I do not think that is going to be the case.
Did they play a perfect game last night... yes they did. Has the Coots in the last decade played two perfect games back to back... or better yet, in the same season? No, they have not.
Rattler played one good game this year against a questionable at best defense. It was a perfect storm that if history proves correct, will not happen next week.
We have more talent and have won 8 (7 plus the SEC forfeit during the Covid year) in a row, and I am very very confident, it will be 9 in seven days from now.
