IMO.
if you're not winning with the older guys, time to give to younger ones a look. Brownell blew it.

9 minutes/game 28 games? he played nearly 1/4 of every game, essentially 7 full games. Are you retarded?

Selfish Player? Brownell has lost this team and things aren't going to get any better anytime soon.

Did you see any of the games this year? Did that look like a team that has faith in their coach?

we clearly saw different Clemson teams play bb this year. As much as I hate to say it, I saw a lot of "quit" in the team...not every game, but in more than I should have. The 2 worst to me were BC and Miami. Were there times when they didn't quit, sure there were...both games against State were a great examples of them giving it everything they had.

Besides having 3 of his own recruits transfer in the past 2 seasons, or having a worse season every year he has been here, or wining one game since January???
No. Things are going great! I see a lot of fight there.

This is just one more dagger in brownells grave. I am dumbfounded by how this could happen. Three years in and this team will have ZERO front court depth.
Brownell, click is ticking.

It's time to start looking at the coaches instead of blaming these kids. By all accounts Sullivan is a good kid.

Being a good kid and knowing how to play BBall at this level, are two completely different topics. Knowledgeable analyst say he has trouble with the speed of the college game.

Now we lose the only 4 star player left on the team. Why are we losing so many kids in basketball and football? I never remember a time losing so many players in a spand of a year.

Because some of these coaches are seriously lacking discernment skills in terms of evaluation and kids' overall character.

for Clemson and, well, for Oliver Purnell. I thought he was a goner when Purnell left in the middle of the might. Sullivan stuck by his commitment to Clemson though. He never pushed Milt for playing time, but he would have started next year more or less by default. Difficult to understand his thought process at this point.

Because they seem to spend to much time re-reading their high school press clippings instead of trying to learn the college game. One way to definitely not improve is to quit.

What few times I could endure CLEMSON basketball, I thought Sullivan was one of our few bright spots. I thought he attacked the rim as well or better than anyone we had. I never felt he got enough PT. Of course I'm not the coach, so I'll leave all of that up to the gurus.
That said - it doesn't look good for CBB with yet another transfer.

That Clemson's basketball team is still, always has been, and probably always will be.....2nd fiddle to the football program!!
Until the mentality changes, we will continue to get what we get. Mediocrity.
Sorry, but it is what it is.
At any rate....Go Tigers!!!!

speculation is a simple-minded loser who will never amount to anything significant in life if you don't become self-aware and change yourself.
The only good thing about threads like this is that the intellectually bankrupt conveniently label themselves as such for the rest of us.
Some of you bags of ###### need to drop Clemson athletics and pick up a Hollywood tabloid rag so you can more comfortably settle into your dimwitted, knee-jerk judgement distopia.
Go Tigers.

He's not a D1 player anyway. We need tall lean greyhounds. Speed kills and we currently are built for the right hand lane. Just look at the athletes FGCU has. Time for us to hire a coach who can recruit athletes. Sorry Brad but I am not on your bus anymore.

He is not selfish at all!!! It is called leaving a program that has no direction or brand. A coach that has been giving a chance that is not deserving of it and that does not know how to engage the fan base or his own players for that matter. The AD got rid of hte wrong coach in basketball. Coleman should have been around still but BB should have had his bags packed mid season.

Mar 25, 2013, 9:29 PM

6 out of his 8 years coaching were 20 win seasons and he took 3 of those teams to the tourney in conferences that you have to win the tournament to make the dance.
So to say he wasn't "deserving" is ignorant. We don't have that much basketball tradition to pull the "big name" coach that everyone wants.
