SECoots and BIG12

So if FSU was “put out of contention” for the SEC with the recent comments made by the SEC commissioner, is this the same for Clemson?
In the statement the SEC made in regard to not wanting FSU (and only FSU not Clemson), they mentioned that FSU had been a bad partner of sorts.
This had to be in relation to FSU lashing out about missing the CFP, and then all that talk before Georgia.
But of course you have Clemson that wasn’t mentioned. Clemson already had more of a chance to get into the SEC than FSU. And we also have always had class. Which is a positive in our chances of course.
Is Clemson SEC or BIG12 bound?

isn't the SEC still being sued by the BIG12 for messing with Texas & Oklahoma while the were still under contract ?
Bet you bottom side - FSU leaves ACC today @11 pm, SEC is on the phone @ 11;01

Well the SEC has no class, except Vandy, so we don't need to be going there.

they(FSU)are not out of contention - they are not in contention

because they are currently in another conference and in litigation. The SEC comments are only on the present(exact moment in time i.e., right now). Much like a public corp they aren’t going to divulge what they any or may not do under hypotheticals. Same with the B1G. Until a school announces they are leaving, those conferences are just whistling on by. And Clemson won’t leave until it is clear on what they owe to leave because it wouldn't be in their best interest if exit fee + media rights settlement is above $x

I think CLEM SEC.
Don't think FSU has burned everything. Lots of disinformation from ACC and others....

Qualk and Ben brought up that exact point yesterday. Up until now, almost all the realignment articles have operated under the assumption that Clemson and Florida State will be a pair wherever they go. This is the first major narrative that isolates a characterization of Florida State while saying nothing of Clemson. You'd think the implication there would be that the SEC and the BIG10 might have a more favorable attitude towards Clemson than FSU because Clemson has kept things much more respectful and lowkey. So perhaps there's actually a good chance Clemson could end up in the power 2 WITHOUT the 'Noles, something that seemed highly unlikely before. But of course, this is all speculation based on what I've heard, I really have no concrete idea. The one thing we've learned for sure in all this realignment drama is that no one seems to know anything and that very few of the things people say are going to happen actually end up happening.

Yes the ACC sucks, but other than money what is the real advantage of going to the Big or SEC? I look at things in terms of getting to the CFP. The ACC offers a better chance of us getting to the CFP each year than either of the other two. Going back to 2010 four different SEC teams have won the National Title (Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Auburn). It's tough to win in the SEC whether we like to admit it or not. Two different Big10 teams have one (Ohio, Michigan), which might make it more attactive in terms of hitting the ground running. It has been since 2005 since a Big12 team won the title and even longer since a PAC-12 won.
I don't think the SEC is a great fit and I also think FSU and Clemson will end up joining another league as a package deal. My WAG is that PAC12 dissolves and FSU, Clemson , Washington State, and Oregon State all end up in the Big12 because the SEC and the Big10 do not want to share money with either of us. It's either that or we stay in the ACC and force them to renegotiate a better deal with ESPN.
The grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence and I think that is a mistake alot of us are making right now. We are assuming an awful lot about what conference will have us if we leave the ACC.
