Went to the autograph session today at Haywood Mall. Clelin Ferrell was signing autographs, and when he was finished, he walked over to a veteran that had been in line. With no fanfare or attention, he sat down beside the guy, pulled out a bag and pulled from it his game jersey from the Duke game - Military Appreciation Day. The purple jersey is kind of special... He spoke to the guy for a while, signed the jersey, got up and left. Clelin is a special player, and a great person. So glad he was a Tiger!

Things like that often times go unnoticed. And that is a bad thing. As fans, we sometimes get to caught up in winning and losing and fail to see the real Clemson University at work. Regardless of the sport, we can all hang our head high when we see the young men, and women, show what’s it’s really all about. When I read storys of the problems that other programs have and compare them with what I KNOW is happening at my alma mater it gives me a really good feeling. Ask yourself ... do you like Clemson basketball as it is or would you prefer a program more successful like Louisville. I may not want to know the answer to that!
