I am having a total knee replacement on Tuesday. I have been in pain for quite some time. Although I know it will be worse before it gets better, I am looking forward to getting this behind me and, hopefully, be out of pain. The whole process has me very anxious. Please pray for me to have a mind free from fear and anxiety that day and for the surgery to be successful. Thanks!

"replacement" surgeries. May yours go well, and may your rehab be relatively pain free. It IS going to hurt when they make you lay that leg flat the first few times in rehab. It WILL get better later.

Praying all goes well and for you during and after your surgery. I had a total hip replacement almost two years ago. I have been told that the knee is a tougher recovery but just remember it's going to be better every day.

the blood thinner they will give you. If it gets red and swollen don't hesitate to get the doc to look. Have seen a blood thinner change make all the difference.

Be sure to get your Doc to get you an ice recirculation machine if you don`t have one now. Much better than the pain meds they prescribe you! Prayers here for a complete and speedy recovery!

My 66 yo cousin just had it and the surgeon told him it was one of the worst knees he had ever seen. The surgery went well and his recovery and rehab have not been bad at all. He is doing great and felt it was much easier than he ever imagined.

Prayers to you! My mom had her knee replaced and if I can offer one piece of advice, make sure you do your PT and then some. Start as soon as possible. Prayers to you and the surgeons my friend.

People in my family have had knee and hip replacements including myself. Several of them had both knees done at one time. You will do well. Prayers for comfort and a successful operation and recovery.

Praying for your procedure. I am in a similar boat as you. The medical world with regard to knee replacements is seeing tremendous success. I have a bunch of friends who are enjoying an increased quality of life post-surgery. I pray the procedure goes flawlessly and your rehab and recovery are fast and full!

Your surgery should go smoothly, . I had both of mine done 6 months apart in 2014.
Embrace your rehab and do everything they advise. I had discomfort but not pain. Your knee hurts now more than the surgery. You will wonder why you waited.

Any sort of joint replacement is rough. My prayers go out to you.
Also, make sure you put in plenty of time to recover, and learn how to get around on your new parts.

You got my prayers, but, I would like to ad that I know a woman that has had both her knees replaced, and she swears that after all the healing and therapy was over, that it was the best medical decision that she's ever made in her life time, and she was about 55 at the time she was telling me about her knee replacements. So I'll pray that you have the very same success with your knee replacement, Amen!!!

Do your rehab, and embrace the pain, it means you are getting better! Get that range of motion.
I ruined my knees playing football, in the old surgery days.
Getting two new knees has been great for me. Like my knees are 40 years younger.
My legs are much stronger, and more stable. A great feeling again.
Walking the steps in Death Valley was a painful struggle, no more!
Forget tennis and jogging. Rowing and elliptical machines will be your friend.
Moderate weight lifting, a little golf, walking is great, especially the steps in Death Valley!
Take your pain meds, and get well soon. Praying ? for you!
The gain is worth the pain, which will last a month or so.
I wish you luck and a 1000% recovery!
