I just want to express appreciation to all Members and Veterans of the United States Military for the freedoms we all enjoy today! I especially want to thank those and their families that gave their very lives for this same cause!! All of your sacrifice and dedication will never be lost on me and my family!!

It is earned and maintained on the blood of Patriots. Every few decades, a conflict happens to wake us up and remind us of that fact. We are probably not that far from the next one. Enjoy Freedom while we still have it.

Great post. My appreciation for our military goes far beyond what Hollywood shows us, but sometimes a quote shows up that reminds me of those standing a post. From A Few Good Men:

"I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it!"

Yes, I know it was a movie, but most all of us sleep comfortably under that blanket of freedom that others provide. To them I say Thank You.

Memorial Day is for remembering those that sacrificed their lives in service to our country. They are to be honored. GOD bless them. The others of us who served get our day in November.
