Srs, what makes Nest so superior to the Honeywell one?

I was looking at both of them the other week, seems like both kind of do the same thing that I really want which is to adjust the temperature via Smartphone while I'm out but the Honeywell looked kind of cool to me because it had a lot more going on the screen. Nest pretty much only has the temperature displayed.
Is it because the Nest has the technology to "predict" your temperature habits?

of Thermostats. The Honeywell is more of the Sperry of Thermostats. They do the same thing, and both work fine, but if you want your friends to go "look at that assswhole spending stupid money on dumb shiz that he doesn't need" then you get the Nest. Also, if you need more than one, they apparently talk to each other. I don't think I need more than one.

I have two units, butt one of them is a fairly small unit just for the master bedroom (bedroom was added on to house).
I do want to get one for the unit that controls the temp for the rest of the house, the thermostat is like 30 years old and I can't figure out how to program it

would save me the cost of the Nest in the first year. This is a no-brainer. Do you see this type of savings 4 SRS?

Re: Anyone of you use the Honeywell Wi-Fi Smart Thermostat?

I don't see the point of $250 for NEST when the $100 Honeywell from Lowes has the same or more functionality. With 2 thermostats, that $300 to spend on FUNNER things.

This is what led me to this one. A similar one to the one

in my old house would be $145. This one is $189 and I can control it with my phone if I need to (leave on vacation, forget to change the settings). The nest would be even more, and it doesn't just let you set it and forget it...you have to train it to do what you want*. #### that.

be changed via smartphone so I don't have to get out of bed. Just take a pic of the control wires in case you eff up the original. If I can do the install, you should be able to.

gotta be close to a year ago since I've even looked a it.
I just have the basic programmable from Lowes, about a $50-60 one. Can't remember model; I do know screen turns red or blue depending on if heat or AC is on. Self-sufficient little booger, I do know that.
