Anyone notice the obsession with rotating guys?

We absolutely need to build depth, don’t get me wrong, but momentum and rhythm is such a big part of football that sometimes it feels like we try too hard to rotate guys and it hurts us. Example… Alexander gets a big tackle and we take him out the next play. Why not let a guy build a little confidence?

Random observation…

Yes this. I commented earlier it’s almost like we are looking for a way to lose momentum

The quick-in / quick-out substitution involving J.Alexander seemed really stupid.

All BS aside, our defenses remains as a mediocre unit as far as tackling. Alexander got to the hole quick, hit the Troy RB via a side approach, and dropped the guy like a brick. Run / hit / down. None of this getting dragged down the field for a few yards. Boom. Runner stopped in his tracks. Down.

Think about it. The tackle was from the side; usually it takes a head-on tackle to stop a runner dead in his tracks. J.Alexander stopped the Troy RB as if the RB had a heart attack.

Yet, right after that tackle, J.Alexander gets taken out.

It’s ridiculous how much we sub. Keeps offense from running tempo as well.

It's a stupid Dabo theory that backfires in big games because none of the first string are used to playing an entire game.

You’re just watching Clemson tho.

That and Dabo has played a lot of guys his entire tenure. Seems to have worked out okay.
