Any of you guys know of a good online sports book?

Sep 4, 2015, 5:26 PM

I used to be with BetJam - but they are no longer around. Looking to possibly place a few wagers this weekend...

5dimes.com is what I use. I just lost all of my money on the account last night. ??

That sucks. I have heard good things about 5 dimes...

I lost 8k one year...Was obsessed with parlays, not only parlays, but taking the underdog (money line) to win straight out.

I had a 7 team parlay about 5 years ago that I put $35 dollars on. All my picks were underdogs to win straight up. Won the first SIX! Detroit ###### me on the last leg of parlay. Would have paid out 34-35k!!!

Talk about hating the farking Lions now. IIRC Detroit was a 2 point dog and lost 56-20 to Minnesota

I try and stay away from parlays. 1 team always seems to screw you! I usually bet 20-50 on a game. Last night i bet 200 on UNC. Thought it was a lock.

Agreed - but they are soooooo effing tempting!!!

I usually bet 100-200 per game. Try and limit to 3 games per weekend.

I do allow myself 25 - 50 per week for long shot parlays...

I use betonline.com.

Won some $$ last night betting on the coots to cover the spread.

What happened with alll the feds getting involved..

Sep 4, 2015, 6:31 PM

Didn't the feds get involved several years ago and go after the online betting world when they went after the poker sites, etc? Was that just a lot of saber rattling and it is business as usual?

Are there any real risks betting with one of the more apparently legitimate/recommended sites? Risk other than losing your money that is.

I am intrigued.

You are partly correct and partly not. It's illegal for an online betting site to set up shop in the US. Offshore sites are legal in the US. Have been for years.

Your second question - I always do my homework and reviews of the sites - Prefer someone to refer me to a site - this can mean a bonus for them and you. I've never had a problem getting paid. If you do accept bonuses - make SURE you see how many times you have to roll that money over before you can withdrawal.

You never want a difficult withdrawal ;)

AVOID BETUS!!!
