Tonite during Duke game. That kid would have turned clemson BB around by himself. He is much better than I ever imagined

from Eli this year.
Honestly though, as incredible a player as Williamson is, if the Tigers could have one player off Duke's team, I'd take JT Barrett.....the kid's almost unstoppable

RJ* Barrett. JT played QB at Ohio State for 10 seasons before finally leaving. RJ Barrett is indeed a baller.

What we don’t have is enough support from the ‘’fans’ ’ as Duke does! It shows tonight and that was the purpose of my initial post! Play at Clemson with a couple of thousand on a good night or Duke with students who really show their support. It ain’t bag money and shoes! It’s support and tradition. Something Clemson could EASILY have but doesn’t.

while the fan support thing is true, you're deluded if you think his recruitment wasn't about money. Much like Cam Newton, you don't go from demanding money from one school to signing for free for another. You just don't

Clemson’s winning when I was a student was a rarity BUT ole Fike was always filled! That theory doesn’t hold water .... to me!

And the ones that went to Chapel Hill to play basketball, same thing ? support and tradition ? As in "I will support your GPA as long as you are here because, well, it is tradition"

What exactly is his “Clemson Connection”? Are we connected because we were duped into thinking he might come here? That we played the pawn so he could “shock the world” by picking a school that many top talent players pick?

The one-and-done phenomena has ruined college bball. It would have been fun to see him in orange, but 1 year free agents don't engender a lot of fan support long term. It just creates massive opportunities for corruption and recruiting scandals. Not that I have any better ideas, but it is what it is.
