If House case is not settled. Vote on proposal coming soon.
This is a big effffing deal. And it means up to 20 million plus revenue sharing for each power 4 conference team. And it will increase each year. Now you know why FSU/CLEMSON/UNC want out of ACC. They can't compete at highest level if their income is going to be 20 million less when shared with athletes. So that 20-40 plus million the SEC /BIG gap is even more of a reason to leave the ACC.
Read this and weep.

They weren't lafteded because you said 200 billion. It must have been something else. 😁

I know it's been said before, might as well say it again. We are coming to the end of amateur sports, mostly football, baseball, soccer, and basketball( a sport we only occasionally participate in). Might as well just go adopt the NFL model

I’ve advocated for the European model where serious youth amateur sports are hosted within a full tiered professional club with a premier pro team, reserve pro team, and paid high-level youth feeder teams (similar to pro baseball leagues). I love Clemson and college sports but it’s been a long time coming. Time to adapt and evolve. Our grandkids won’t think anything of it. But for us oldies who have been around, it’s all so very new and uncomfortable. Alas, serious sports should never have been tied to academic institutions of higher learning. They’re separate pursuits.

It means no dollars because there is no where close to $20 billion available. Settlements mean nothing unless they can be paid.

A statement that most of us have heard all of our lives could be what bites the NCAA square in their A$$, and that statement goes something like this: be very careful of what you ask for bc you won't want it once you get it.
The NCAA wanted to make all the money and keep it for themselves by selling those kids rights away with those video sport games without sharing a penny of it with the college athletes that were getting their rights trampled on, they deserve every bit of the fire that the courts are building under their empire. It reminds me of another video game, the empire strikes back, and hard...LMFAO!!!

Is this really all worth it? Couldn't they just cut a bunch of sports and call it a day, both men's and womens?
I don't see how non power conferences are being handled either. Seems like they aren't on the hook.
