It will be interesting to see how DCs game plan against TL (especially since their is plenty of video available). I don't think many will stack the box and dare him to beat you passing.

What’s going to be insane is if they go heavy on the pass defense.... OK now they have to figure out what to do with Etienne, Dixon, Mellusi, etc.... you see where I’m going with this

Shhhh....we are all haters, remember... There's no way we were right!!! Down with everyone that didn't think KB could beat TL after seeing 3 years of KB's stats (or lack thereof in passing), am I right?
We tried telling everyone. Some listened, some didn't... But who's the haters now? ??

I don't think people cared who started as long as the QB on the field was the better suited player to win football games . To the coaches credit they allowed the veteran and freshman to battle for the position ( as they do at all positions ) and the better player emerged after 4 games .
It's really that simple .

... he didn't even have close to his best in the championship game.
And I'll be most of you will still pick Alabama when the season gets started.

This is what so many people who don't follow Clemson miss.
Against Alabama, the main thing TL did was not choke (except for the one missed TD pass at the end of the 1st half). He was steady under pressure and wasn't afraid to get hit in order to deliver a clean ball. Obviously Ross should get most of the credit on the two "circus" catches that have been replayed 10 zillion times.
TL was cool as a cucumber, didn't flinch and delivered the goods. It was all he needed to do.
Maybe in 2019 more people will watch him consistently and see he's on another level. TL is one example where college FB pundits get it and many average fans don't.

I think that missed pass was his "freshman moment".

Don't fool yourself , those two " circus " catches are incompletions if the ball isn't placed exactly where they were placed in order for Justyn Ross to make the play on them . Both players made excellent plays on each . 99/100 college QBs don't make those throws into that good of coverage that far down a sideline .
