Surprises: Adam Randall Ronan Hanafin Christian Bentancur Jaheim Lawson Stephiylan Green
Disappointments: Cade Klubnik TJ Parker Peter Woods Wade Woodaz Ricardo Jones
If our disappointments start playing like they are capable, we might finish 10-3.

Surprises: We suck at every level, players AND coaches
Disappointments: We suck at every level, players AND coaches
Sorry I refuse to give this team and coaching staff credit for beating a few of the worst teams in the country. Beat someone with a pulse if you want us to think the team is worth a ####
By the way, the worst part of it is the teams we have lost to aren't even really that good. So not only can we not keep up with the big dogs, we can't even keep up with average dogs
Disappointing

SMU, Duke and FSU will be tough.

Leon? A little surprised you'd say tough. Tough is not the word I would use. SMU isn't that good. I'd concede at this point the 3 you mentioned are mediocre. The story is yet to be written, but imo SMU struggles to be plus 500 team. FSU? Certainly has good players, but have they checked out??? Time will tell. Duke plays tough but the 4 wins aren't impressive. They lost to a decent g5 Tulane team. They played Illinois tough but since we've learned, Illinois doesn't have a D.

I meant "tough for Clemson" because we aren't that good either.

And 10-3 would still be extremely disappointing considering

All of pre-season hopes and dreams.
Let’s get to 10 wins! Would be stoked! Just reminding everyone we play in the ACC. A 10-3 season is still very disappointing overall and we’ll need to make changes to ever even sniff being “elite” again.

very fair assessment. I'm not sure why they keep sending Woodaz out there, the back up LB's look more convincing when they see the field. I think Woods has been ok, just never feels like a game changer. TJ Parker is a way bigger disappointment IMO. Seems like every team has an answer for him. you'd think having a dawg on the other side of him would help their stats.
Other disappointments: no true RB#2.... I'm excited for EZ and Davidson, but Kieth Adams looks natural running.. hitting the gaps with confidence, and them ending each run laying the boom on the opposing defense. i think he needs more snaps.
Give Tristan Smith some better routes for F's sake. If nothing else, reward his hard playing and energy with more snaps. i know he will find the endzone if he gets an honest chance.
(next year issues) No true back up QB. Vizzina aint it. Pearman at least has swagger, which i think could win a game if we had to play a back up. i get most teams don't have a good backup QB because of the NIL and transfer portal, but those dudes have been on that team 3 years. hopefully we snag a guy in the portal to let our incoming QB's work to get that starting job. but i know i'm lying to myself with that last sentence.

I meant to add Gideon Davidson to the list as well.
Major letdown.

Kieth Adams looked good last week but bc had their backups in for a large portion of the 2nd half. Even at full strength, the BC radio hosts admit that BC's run D was a huge weakness... and it showed. Tbh, most of cades passing yards were really just the extention of our run game.
Agree he should get more touches just to see. But Dabo ain't having it unless we're up 3 scores.

Good list, I also think that Heldt has been better than expected and consistent

too. Hampton has been disappointing too. To many pi calls and blown coverages.

The offensive line as a unit has been disappointing. I really thought they would be a strength of this team. That was so wrong.

Ricardo Jones ain’t more of a disappointment than any of those corners besides Aveion T.
Ricardo was still a wait and see type player. I don’t know what he’s shown to warrant this being a “disappointment”. I expected he might suck. Or might be good.
And he’s much smaller than I imagined when he committed. Thought he’d be a wrecking ball safety who could hit.

Ricardo has been pretty bad this year. A total liability in coverage.
I was hoping he was going to make a huge jump. That didn't happen.
The talent is still there. He will probably be good by the time he leaves.

Not surprised by Jaheim Lawson. He was coming on last year and just took the next step we hoped so many other were going to take. I am actually more surprised by Will Heldt.
Another category - as expected: Sammy Brown Bryant Wesco Nolan Hauser
