Well - if there was NOT an Alabama player involved, then YES - easily. OR - if they use the criteria that they typically use: A player that absolutely puts the team on his back and wins games - all of them. Henry did NOT do that, and Watson DID. Watson played 13 games to Henry's 12, but Watson won all games and Henry could not carry his team on his back enough to even win 12. That spells Heisman for Watson under normal circumstances. But Henry is from Bama, so that skews then entire thinking processes of those who make the decision. It sucks that Watson had to come up against a Bama player, even though he totally outperformed the Bama player, and there should not even be a discussion about it.

C'est la vie. Maybe someday CLEMSON will be the new Bama and get favored for everything in the football universe.

But it should be Deshaun's. If he played in another Power5 conference, he would win it easily. The ACC hate will keep him from it . . . this year.

After we win the natty, though, he'll be the front runner from the start next year.

Yes. He's not winning.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He should, but Henry will win it due to a million carries.

will be Henry. In addition to all the carries Henry got, I think he's a year older than Watson and McCaferty.
