down on the field among the players? Seems he can have his finger on the pulse there and also get in someone's face (coaches and players) when necessary. Someone you have confidence in can look the field over from above and provide the D coordinator feedback. Seems Allen is removed from the emotional side, which is essential, by not being on the field.

Seeing what we are seeing seems he would want to be with his players on the D side in an effort to coach them up. What we are doing does not appear to be working, so why not change.

You see what the team is doing against us in the box. I wish our OC would be in the box.

I played and coached. NFL coordinators usually stay in the box. Just because Venables did it one way doesn't mean all have to. Allen has produced elite defenses for his entire career and has always done it from the box.
