All thus talk of Germone Hopper

Got me to watch his film. D@mn this kid can not only make people miss and his great hands, but what I love is that he can flat out run by people. http://youtube.com/watch?v=DXVZAXyz86c I see him and D-Rod ansolutely exploding in a couple of years.

Thanks for the link. I always love some film/athlete analysis. Germone to me, looks like a mix of Desean Jackson, Mike Bellamy (just on the field haha, without the fumbles, even though he might hold it a little loose with the TD where he fumbled after), and Derrick Hamilton. That may be a weird bunch of guys to compare him to, but I see a little of each in him. Looks to be a 4.4 guy by the eyeball test, maybe a tad faster. He's exceptionally good at reading the flow of the defense (aka, Desean Jackson's punt return capabilities) but my only worry is that he reverses field too deep. In college he won't be able to do that as much, if ever. If he realizes the difference in speed and adjusts, he'll be one heck of a player. Looking forward to seeing how he responds to the difference.

I like his skillset. He has the ability to make people miss. I just hope he learns how to use some of moves correctly. Some of those defenses looked slow and no effort. Some of those moves could get him clocked on this level. I think he will be dangerous though. A new weapon that nobody knows about yet.

Nice ability to make people miss, very shifty with an extra gear.

His role

I wonder what his role will be. Especially with our receivers Nuk, bryant, brown, sammy, humphries, Peake
could we see him as a return specialist and scat back type guy?

I can see him being like a Joe Adams from Arkansas last year. I wouldn't say he's Spillerish...yet. I am stoked to see what he brings to the table though!

A lot of those defenses looked to be extremely untalented, but Hopper sure has a nose for the end zone.
What I really like to see from this highlight reel is his ability to catch the football - not just screen passes, but deep routes lining up as a WR. Versatility like that will fit very well into Chad Morris' system.
