forgiveness for what is about to happen to the revered Notre Dame and Touchdown Jesus this Saturday.

Jesus most likely had a beard based on Jewish tradition, but I don't believe scripture specifically says one way or the other. If he didn't have one, the Pharisees would have probably had something negative to say about it and his response would have probably been written about in one of The Gospels.

Here is a passage from Isaiah where Jesus' crucifixion is prophesied.

"IS. 50:5 The Lord GOD has opened My ear;
And I was not disobedient
Nor did I turn back.
IS. 50:6 I gave My back to those who strike Me,
And My cheeks to those who pluck out the beard;
I did not cover My face from humiliation and spitting.
IS. 50:7 For the Lord GOD helps Me,
Therefore, I am not disgraced;
Therefore, I have set My face like flint,
And I know that I will not be ashamed."

The Savior did have a beard we learn from this passage, and it was plucked out. He willingly did this for all mankind when He could have easily called over 12 legions of angels to deliver Himself from this fate. What a love He has for us.
