Hotel Room in Downtown Athens Available

Hey everyone. I wanted to reach out to any Tiger fans looking to make the trip to Athens this weekend for the game. I have a two queen bed room available at the Hilton Garden Inn in Athens, GA. It's booked for Friday and Saturday night. It is right in the middle of downtown, and about a 10 min walk to Sanford Stadium. The room also includes a parking pass. This does not surprise me at all. Last year the going rate for a room at the Days Inn in Clemson (for the UGA game) weekend was $499 per night with a 2 night minimum.

I graduated from Clemson, I have no interest in profiting from this room. If you feel like it's too expensive, I understand. It is a lot to ask for one room. But that is the rate I paid for the room.

It is not a scam. The Hilton Garden Inn and Hotel Indigo are EASILY $400/night on game weekends.
The two nicest hotels in downtown Athens...

I called the hotel and asked if that was a legitimate rate. They said it is. It is too expensive for me but I recommend all of you who are calling names do the same and come back and apologize after you do so.

This is a prime time downtown location. Price doesn't seem astronomical. Think I paid 189.00 to stay there on a random weekend for a wedding. So double that for game day seems legit.

Yep. Anyone calling this guy a liar has never stayed in a hotel for a game in a serious football town. It's a Hilton in a prime location on a major game weekend. $400/night is on the high end but it is clearly within the usual range.
