I took a little internet break and getting ready for football. What is the reasonable expectations from Adam? Is there a past Clemson comparison for him? Does he stay RB1 all year? Thanks

I am taking the Adam Randall talk with a grain of salt. I know he put us in position to win the ACCCG with that KOR, and he did well running vs Texas.
This guy every year for the last 4 years has been the best thing since sliced bread and has barely any production whatsoever, knowing he was hit with the injury bug a lot.
He obviously does what he is told, and puts in the work and is a great ambassador to this university, but I am going to not believe the hype until I can see it on the field.
We have heard the hype for three straight preseasons and have got zilch on the field on Saturdays. I do not think a position change is going to suddenly make everything work out perfect.

I hope you, and all the Tiger fans out there are very pleasantly surprised with great, injury free, performance all season, and Adam puts on a great show for al to see. I also hope the other RB's keep him challenged by being stellar, too. Might as well wish big, IMO.

i do wish him well, and hope he blossoms because he obviously is a hard working man that always earns Dabos praise, but constantly being pumped up by everyone around him publicly about how fast, strong, athletic, 7% body fat he has is getting old. The tape doesn't lie and I have yet to see any good tape of him in three years at WR.
I hope KOR/RB is what he needs to finally blossom.
But.... if the guy couldn't block a CB while playing WR, I don't see him picking up a blitzing LB playing RB. We shall see. in 2021-2023 he was one of our better blocking WRs, but we all know that isn't saying much b/c they were horrible at blocking. And route running, and catching.... hahaha. But the room is loaded now.
And I don't want to see reps lost to Easy-E/GD b/c we feel we owe reps to a WR turned RB as a last ditch effort to get a hard-working senior who has done the right things some PT as a thank you.

I hope they don't hold back the younger RB's by giving Randall sympathy reps. Play the best guy at the position. Would hate to see a transfer because of favoritism at the RB position.

Funny, but I have seen Adam in a totally different light. I have seen him as a great representative of Clemson, which of course you did acknowledge, but as a young man who has suffered way too may injuries that set him back considerably, but when healthy he has contributed greatly to this football team. What you see on the field each Saturday is not always an indication as to how valuable a person is to the team.
He has produced more on the field than I think you have given him credit (zilch in your words) and he produced in the Texas game because they knew what he could do. I have great faith in him and our coaching staff to put him into a position to succeed this year. I do think it will be running back by committee, and his role may be situational, but that is important. I'm not taking anything with a grain of salt.

I think Gideon will be RB1 by the end of the year.
But I hope I’m wrong. I haven’t pulled for an individual player’s success more than I’m pulling for Randall this year.

I think it will be a group effort. Gideon is going to be the next great, but you can’t keep a 6 foot 4 240 lb converted running back off the field. Jay Haynes also brings experience and is actually very good. Should’ve been over injured Mafah.
Randall has showed downhill speed and power. Finding gaps and running straight through. No hesitation. On runs and kickoff returns. Adam Randall is bigger than DK Metcalf. All muscle, 7% body fat. I know that, someone told me. I forgot who originally said it. Like Cade.

DK is 6'4 230. So yes, he is shorter than DK but 10 lbs heavier. Better comparison in size is Derrick Henry.

The expectation is he will get an opportunity to prove himself and contribute (hard to judge a guy based on a handful of plays in one game with any certainty). Most likely a role player but might find his way in the rb rotation but not likely RB1 or RB2 but possible. I hope he has a breakout year but time will tell

I have humigg expectations for him if he remains healthy. He has been injury prone during his career at clemson, but he is a freak athlete.
He has an extremely small sample size, but he seemed to have good vision and running instincts.will he be able to block our of the backfield? That remains to be seen.

I expect Randall to be a downhill beast this year. 240 lbs with 4.4 speed? He's gonna truck. He will be the thunder to Gideon and EZ-E's lightning. I can see him doing damage with delayed RB screens.

I think 500 yds averaging over 5.0 yds per carry and 5+ TDs would be success given all the other options available. If he has a couple of games where he carries the majority of the load that would be great. Anything more is gravy.

I hope he becomes the guy that can get us 1-2 yards when we must have it and everyone knows what is coming. He has the size to be that guy. Really don’t want to have to put that pressure on Cade like we have on our QBs in the past. I would like to see a rotation with him and either Easy E or Davidson. Both of them in the backfield at the same time would be great but we have too much talent at WR to limit the number of WRs we have on the field by having 2 backs. Maybe this is the formation for short yardage?

A good year for Randall will be 350 yards rushing, 200 yards receiving, 5 touchdowns.

A C8Z06 is a beast son, please take the suggested driving courses before purchase.
If you've never owned a muscle car ( let's say 600+ HP ) previously it's quite easy to become a statistic. Just a heads up. No offense intended.
Also , on the mustang , make the swap with the new coyote by Ford. You will love it

As others have said, he will be part of a "committee" approach at RB, depending sometimes on that week's practice.
I expect him to start many games, since Coach Swinney "trusts" experience over talent, but by season end, it will be hard to keep Davidson or even Eziomume off the field (as long as they block on pass protection).
I think Green, Haynes, and Adams will all contribute, but there just won't be enough carries to go around.

I think they'll find ways to get him touches in various ways(carries, catches, returns). He's obviously got the size and speed to be a threat somewhere, he has the same build as like an Eddie George at RB around 6'3 230. I want to see him succeed and be productive for us, but yeah...we've heard the build up every season since he's been here. It's now or never. With that said, I still like Davidson and EZ as the 1-2 punch at RB very early in the season.

If I had to put a metric for success....
1000+ All Purpose Yards and 10+ TDs - 400+ yards rushing - 200+ yards Receiving - 500+ Kick return yards
Would be neat to see it! Pulling for him to go out on top.

I would be pleasantly surprised if he accumulates more than 300 total yards. Concerned EZ is gonna transfer if he doesn’t start getting some meaningful reps. Don’t understand why they couldn’t get him ready by end of season last year. Would have been nice to have EZ ready when PM got hurt. Guess he couldn’t pick up the blitz.

Go get it son.
Honestly I see a running back by committe ( AR , EZ , GD )
The 3 AM-I-GO (s) get a first down ?
Don't sleep on EZ. I can see him becoming RB1 early until it's obvious GD is an NFL back
That may take a handful of games ( or not ).
Either way , we will effectively run the ball. Write it down

I do get Randall is a coach favorite and has been outperformed & obsolesced at WR and is moving to the RB room.
I don't get that no coaches have ever seen fit to play Randall as a RB. And that Gideon Davidson is jacked, and one of the best high school RBs in the country, and is arriving at Clemson with 1000's of more snaps at RB than Randall, and is getting very little respect.

On his KO ret vs SMU & 40 yd run Vs TX and honestly he runs a bit like Derrick Henry. North South with very precise tiny cuts while getting downhill.
Seriously, how did we beat SMU… amazing finish
And I totally forgot that chicken $?!T blindside block call on our Pick 6 in the TX game… you call that a score and we may win that game.
Total Mo killer.
But before I get off on a tangent… he actually looks really good when you look at him as a RB.
