ACC Standings and possible regional hosts?

ACC standings currently

1. North Carolina 18-10 ACC 39-11 overall

2. NC state 17-10 ACC 33-17 overall

3. Georgia tech 18-11 ACC 38-16 overall

4. FSU 16-10 ACC 36-13 overall

5. Clemson 17-12 ACC 40-15 overall

Clemson is going probably a lock at 5. Which will have Clemson playing the 12th or 13th seed on Wednesday. Should be a winnable game if we win that we get the 4th seed likely to be FSU on Thursday. I’d go 50/50 chance of winning if we start knaak. I don’t know that we got the pitching to win the ACC. But winning the first game on Wednesday should lock up a regional host site? I expect to beat Pittsburgh today and win the ACC tournament game Wednesday that puts us at 42 wins. If we lose to FSU that’s a 42-16 finish there is no way Clemson doesn’t host a regional with a 42-16 record.

Current RPI of 11. Winning at least 2 more may even give us a shot of being a super host. (without even needing the paired regional host being upset).

We'd have to go deeper into the acc. Definitely have to beat fsu, should they end up 5th. It could hinge on that game. Coastal probably wins their conference and they'd host a super b4 us. Idc what the rpi says.

Oregon St is probably a lock at 7 seed. Unc is a lock for super. Depending on what fsu does in tournament, they'll be a super too. That leaves 5 more super. Ain't no way acc gets 3 and sec only gets 4. So no, I'd bet today we're not a super host without an acc ring... or minimum playing for it.

If duke beats GT today we will be 6 seed
If GT beats Duke we will be 5 seed

Clemson beating Pitt will raise them to 0.600
FSU losing to UNC will drop them below 0.600

Both must happen.

What about GT and Duke? If GT wins, they are third and Clemson is fourth.
If Duke wins, there is a 3-way tie for third (Clemson, GT, and Duke all at 18-12).
Just guessing at tie breakers, Duke would get third seed since they won series over Clemson and GT.
Clemson would get fourth since they beat GT in their series.

I could definitely be missing something, particularly 3 team tiebreakers.

If Clemson and UNC win, the 3pm game between GT and Duke MAY be a game to decide who gets the final double bye (3 seed).
