ACC is 1-10 in bowls this year and last.

And the non conference regular season games have a similar win percentage with some embarrassing losses.
Attendance reflects the poor performance.
Recruiting rankings are dropping across the ACC.
I would not care if I did not acknowledge that the putridness of the ACC is going to affect Clemson.
This season is very reminscent of 2007, which was the previous low point in the ACC.
Time for the ACC to find a way to improve or time to blow the conference up!

And the SEC is 1-6 this year. The only win? SC who could not score against Clemson. So, should the SEC blow themselves up too?

Nobody enjoys a SEC loss more than I.

But if you put the bowl records side by side for the last 5 years, you will recognize there is a big discrepancy.
Nobody would argue the SEC has an enthusiasm and performance problem within their conference.

Did you just pull the SEC excuse of “they don’t want to be there” with the word “enthusiasm”? Making excuses is what they do.
Do I think the ACC needs to step up? Yes, of course. New coaches in Miami, VT, UVA, Duke, etc. But, I would also contend that bowl games are no longer what they once were in importance. Add that to the BS of opt outs, and then it is about matchups. Sure, there are some teams that are laying eggs - aka, UNC, VT. Never saw SC beating UNC. The NIL has created some real problems for smaller schools to compete, thus an already poor balance of power has gotten worse. (The number of alumni increases the number of businesses that may sponsor (bribe) players.)
I think the sec record is pretty funny this year - simply due to their better than everyone else BS. But, I don’t put too much stock in lower level bowl games deciding strength of conference.

So the SEC teams only play bad because they are not enthused about being there but they are otherwise very good teams while the ACC teams are very enthused about being there and are just really bad teams?

We will see bowl games played at the beginning of the season rather than after the regular season. This has been discussed before. For instance you might see our Tigers begin a season by playing Maryland in the Gator Bowl in early September. Once the NCAA expands the playoffs to a dozen teams the other bowls will not survive. Attendance is already being affected

Who cares? Clemson is 1-0 in bowls this year that’s all I care about. Well, it would’ve been nice if South Carolina lost, but who cares. They beat a crappy North Carolina team who didn’t want to tackle
