How as a one seed we get the worse layout. Play Thursday Friday if we win our pool play Saturday and possibly Sunday. Miami has a day break in between the first three games if they win the pool. One seed should get a say in which games they want.

Agree. Imo, we should be playing the winner of their game today, then if necessary, the loser of their game Friday. That way if we win on Wednesday, then our game on Friday would be useless and we could start a freshman. That way, our Wednesday pitcher could possibly pitch some innings on Sunday.

The 1 seed does have an advantage. If there is a tie, the top seed advances.

SEC moved to a Round Robin style this year where they used to have the playoff brackets. There has to be some benefits to the conferences using this format but I sure don't understand what they are.

As a 1-seed in our pool Clemson chose that schedule,

it wasn't forced on us. We simply need to beat the winner of Miami / Louisville and we advance. If that game is Thursday then Friday's game won't matter and we can rest our arms. If that game winds up being Friday then Thursday's game won't matter and we can save our arms for the final 3.
